Painted Illusions Flowering Rain Boots Card

Welcome Spring!  I was having a hard time coming up with a card today, but I am so happy with the one I finally came up with the double stack display style card and perfect for this early spring season.  It uses the Flowering Rain Boots stamp set from Stampin’ Up and the Painted Illusions designer series paper.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Darling Duckling card stock (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Painted Illusions designer series paper (February 2026 Product of the Month Stampin’ Up)
  • Flowering Rain Boots stamp set and dies (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Everything is Rosy (retired Stampin’ Up)

  • Wild Wasabi ink (retired Stampin Up)
  • Smoky Slate ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Light Darling Duckling Stampin’ Blends marker

  • Pop dots

From white card stock cut your card base to 4 ¼” x 5 ½” and a second to 4 ¼” x 11” and score at 2”, 3 ¾”, 7 ¼” and 9”, then fold in from the center and out on the outsides.  Then cut one to 3 ½” x 3 ¾” for the front and a second to 3 3/8” x 3 ¾” for the back panel.  From Darling Duckling to 3 ¾” x 4” for the front panel and another to 3 5/8” x 4” for the back panel.  From Painted Illusions designer series paper find the piece gradiating from Darling Duckling.  From the Darling Duckling section cut a piece to 3 ¼” 4” from the center inside panel.

Take the card base and adhere the center panel to the card base leaving 1” on each side.  Adhere the designer series paper piece to the inside center.  Adhere the smaller Darling Duckling piece to the right panel leaving 1/8” around the three sides.  Adhere the other Darling Duckling piece to the left panel.  Use some scrap Darling Duckling card stock and die cut out two of the trellis piece and trim down to 5 sections and repeat.  Then adhere one of each to the white sides of the card base.

With some scrap white card stock stamp and die cut the following:

  • With Smoky Slate ink stamp the rain can and also a pair of the rain boots
  • From Darling Duckling ink stamp the daisy grouping and the tulip flowers
  • From Wild Wasabi ink stamp the seed pack and the tulip stems.  Use the Light Darling Duckling Stampin’ Blends market to color in the daisy on the see pack.

Take the larger white panel and stamp the “live life in full bloom” greeting from the Flowering Rain Boots stamp set and stamp in the upper left corner in Wild Wasabi ink.  Adhere the rain can to the lower right corner, adhere the daisy bunch to the top of the rain can with pop dots and the seed pack with pop dots in the lower left corner overlapping the bottom of the can slightly.  Add one of the brass butterflies above the daisies.  Adhere to the front left Darling Duckling panel.

For the right inside panel, take the other white panel and stamp the “time to celebrate all the lovely things in life starting with you” greeting from the Everything is Rosy stamp set in Wild Wasabi ink in the upper center.  Add two of the brass butterflies.  Adhere to the left lower Darling Duckling panel.

For the back center panel adhere the tulip steams to the top of the rain boots and adhere to the center panel over the designer series paper.  Adhere the tulips to the top of the stems.  Add two of the brass butterflies.

Brushed With Beauty Just Because Card

A vertical take on a book binding card.  This floral card is made with Brushed With Beauty designer series paper from Stampin’ Up and using the Petals of Beauty and Words of Beauty coordinating stamp sets and dies.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Crumb Cake card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Mossy Meadow card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Brushed With Beauty designer series paper (November 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Petals of Beauty stamp set and dies (November 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Words of Beauty stamp set (November 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Nested Die 138281 (Sizzix)
  • Calypso Coral ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Petal Pink ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Pink Pirouette (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

From a piece of Crumb Cake card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and score at 2 ¾” and 4 ¼”.  Fold in half and then fold the 2 ¾” flap up.  With your white card stock cut a piece to 2 ½” x 5 ¼” for the inside.  Take the Brushed With Beauty designer series paper pack and find the one with the smaller floral print, cut a piece to 2 ½” x 5 ¼”.

With some white card stock and the Petals of Beauty stamps and dies stamp and die cut the flowers.  I made three different flowers to help match the paper’s flowers:

  • Stamp the base in Pink Pirouette and then the outline in Petal Pink
  • Stamp the base in Pink Pirouette and then the outline stamped off in Petal Pink
  • Stamp the base in Petal Pink and then the outline stamped off in Calypso Coral

Use the larger size of the yellow 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds for the centers of the flowers.  With some scrap Mossy Meadow card stock use the leaf die from Petals of Beauty to cut one out and cut it into single leaves to use.

With your card base, adhere the 1 ½” section to the back of the inside of your card to form the Book Binding.  Adhere to floral piece to the front right side of the card.  Adhere the three flowers evenly to the left side on the book binding with the leaves behind to your liking.  Take three of the pink 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds to the blank spaces around the flowers.  On a scrap piece of white card stock stamp the “just”, “because” and “…” in Calypso Coral and use a label die to cut it out, I use a nested Sizzix die that was about 1 ½” high but any shape will work.

For the inside of the card adhere you white piece and stamp the “you’ve been on my mind” stamp in Calypso Coral ink.

A pretty card to brighten someone’s day and let them know you are thinking of them.
