Painterly Pears Matchbox Candy Gift Box

This is a cute little gift for a friend or loved one.  It was made with the Painterly Pear suite from Stampin’ Up.  It uses the Stampin’ Up Bigz XL Matchbox Die and nicely holds 4 pieces of Hershey Nuggets.

To create the larger yellow box, you just need a few things:

  • Night of Navy card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Darling Duckling card stock (2025 – 2027 In Color Stampin’Up)
  • Mossy Meadow card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Painterly Pear designer series paper (2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Perfectly Pears Stamps and Dies (2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Mossy Meadow and Gold Trim Ribbon (2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Night of Navy ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Bigz XL Matchbox Die (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

With your Night of Navy card stock and the Bigz XL Matchbox Die cut out your box and fold inward at the score marks to create your box.  The only piece you need adhesive for is the long straight one.  Get the more detailed on put together first which create your inside piece.  Then you can wrap it and add adhesive with the second piece for the outside.  With a piece of Darling Duckling card stock cut a piece to 2 ½” x 5 ¾”.  Then find the navy blue pear piece of paper from the Painterly Pear designer series paper pack and cut a piece to 2 ¼” x 5 ¾”.  Now wrap the outside of your box with the Darling Duckling and then the Navy pear paper.

With the Mossy Meadow and Gold Trim ribbon, wrap the box and tie a knot.  Take one of the Navy bigger labels that you cut with the die and then also cut one of the smallest one’s from Darling Duckling.   From a scrap piece of Mossy Meadow cut out some leaves with the leaf die from the Perfectly Pears dies.

With your small Darling Duckling label, Night of Navy ink and the “Hello” greeting from the Perfectly Pears stamp set stamp your label.  Adhere the label to the Night of Navy label and then to your box.  Now cut out the small flowers from the die in the Perfectly Pears die set.  Arrange the flowers in a two groups and add a few leaves in the background.

Add four pieces of Hershey’s Nugget candy or other candy to fill the box and now it is a great gift for a friend or loved one.

Bouquet of Roses Charming Day Card

This card is made with the rose die from the Stampin’ Up Charming Day stamps and dies.  This lovely rose die in the Charming Day suite makes such pretty roses and were perfect for my card.  I saw a similar card on Facebook and thought it was such a great idea though I can’t find what site I found it on, and this die was perfect for what I wanted.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Darling Duckling card stock (2025-2027 In Colors from Stampin’ Up)
  • Strawberry Slush (2025-2027 In Colors from Stampin’ Up)
  • Old Olive card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Subtle 3D embossing folder (Stampin’ Up)
  • Charming Day stamps and dies (July 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Fancy Border Dies (2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Strawberry Slush ink (2025-2027 In Colors Stampin’ Up)
  • White Crinkle Ribbon (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop Dots

With white card stock cut your card base to 5 1/2” x 8 ½” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Then cut a piece to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and two pieces to 3 ¾” x 5”.  Then with your Darling Ducking card stock cut two pieces to 4” x 5 ¼”.

With the Subtle 3D embossing folder emboss the 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” white card stock and one of the 3 ¾” x 5”.  Now with the 3 ¾” x 5” embossed white piece and one of your Darling Duckling pieces and align the white over the Darling Duckling with the right upper corner hanging over the right upper about 1/8” on each side then use the simple Fancy Border Die along each corner and cut to cut the corner to make a spot to hold your flowers like they are wrapped in paper.  Then adhere the white piece to the Darling Duckling.

Now cut three roses from the rose die in the Charming Day dies from the Strawberry Slush card stock, and another three from Old Olive card stock.  Then also cut one of the leaves with the die from Old Olive.  The cut the rose tops off the Strawberry Slush roses you cut and adhere to the Old Olive roses you cut so you have the green for stems and leave and the pink rose.  Align your roses through the slot you cut and adhere to the back and then adhere the whole thing to the larger white embossed piece.  Then adhere your leaves die cut piece to the back of your three roses just to add a bit of filler.

Cut a Darling Duckling tag and a smaller white tag and adhere together.  Stamp the “you made my day” greeting on the white label with Strawberry Slush ink.  Adhere to the front of your card.  Take a piece of White Crinkle Ribbon and tie a bow and adhere to the base of the roses.

Now for the inside of your card take the white piece and adhere to the Darling Duckling piece.  Take the “Thanks for being you” greeting and stamp on the upper portion of your white card stock.  Adhere to the inside of your card.

This gives you a lovely bouquet card to make someone’s day.

Floral Charm Twist Card

This is my take on a twist card as I changed it to my own version as the regular twist cards I’ve seen don’t make a normal size card, so this version does and it turned out pretty cool.  It was the perfect design for this paper from the Floral Charm designer series paper from Stampin’ Up.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Timid Tiger card stock (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • Mossy Meadow card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Floral Charm designer series paper (2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Charming Day stamp set
  • Birthday greeting for card inside
  • Layered label dies
  • Mossy Meadow ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots
  • Scoring board or paper trimmer scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop Dots

With your Timid Tiger card stock cut a card base to 4 ¾” x 5 ½” and score at ¼” and 4 ½” and fold both scores up.  Then cut two pieces to 4 ¼” x 5 ½” and score at a diagonal and fold and then trim off the overhanging area on the long edge.  Now adhere each to the ¼” scored edges of your card base making sure they align in the middle.

From the Mossy Meadow card stock cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼” and then cut diagonally in the direction to match your card.  Adhere under the front flap so shows in the lower left corner and the upper right corner.

Find the Floral Charm designer series paper and grab the piece with the orange and pink flowers and cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼” and cut in half to match your diagonal on your card.  You will need to trim to match your angles, then adhere.  Cut another piece to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and cut on the diagonal for the inside of the card.  Cut on a diagonal and adhere to the inside angles of your card.

With your white card stock cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼” for the inside of your card.  Choose a layered label die with two dies and cut the smaller layer out of the white card stock and the larger layer out of a scrap piece of Timid Tiger.

Grab your Charming Day stamp set and find the “Happy Birthday” greeting and with your Mossy Meadow ink stamp on your white label.  Adhere your white label to the Timid Tiger label with pop dots.  Adhere your label to the front center of the card, only applying adhesive to the half that will adhere to the left side of the card.

With the white piece of card stock for the inside of your card and the Mossy Meadow ink stamp a birthday greeting, mine was “May this birthday bring life’s true gifts – good health, friendships, and love” from an old Stampin’ Up set.

There, you now have my take on a twisted card, it looks more complicated than it is when you have instructions.  Was a bit harder when I was just trying to figure it out on my own.

Painterly Pears Angled Gate Fold Card

This angled gate fold card evolved into a different card than it started as, but I am now happy with it.  This Painterly Pair suite is quickly becoming one of my favorites from Stampin’ Up as I just love the colors, they fall right in my wheelhouse, and the papers are so pretty.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Petal Pink card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Painterly Pears designer series paper (July 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Perfectly Pears stamps and dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Free as a Bird stamp set (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Ink
    • Darling Duckling ink (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
    • Old Olve ink (Stampin’ Up)
    • Black Momento ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Blender Pens (Stampin’ Up)
    • Petal Pink (dark)
    • Old Olive (light and dark)
    • Mossy Meadow (light)
    • Pecan Pie (Dark)
  • Scoring board or paper trimmer scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

With so me Petal Pink card stock cut the back card base to 5” x 5 ½” and score at 3/8” and 4 5/8” and fold both side up and in.  Cut two pieces to 4 ¼” x 5 ½” and score both at 2 1/8”.  Mark down 2” and cut your angle and do the opposite direction with the other piece.  From the white card stock cut two pieces to 1 7/8” x 5 ¼” and angle to match the inside angles.

Take your Painterly Pear designer series paper and find the white sheet with the pears and pink flowers, cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼” for the back of your card.  Find the Petal Pink piece with the small designs and cut two pieces to 1 7/8” x 5 ¼” and angle to match the front back panels.  Now get the Petal Pink piece with pears and flowers and cut that to 1 7/8” x 4 ¼” and angle to match the front two panels.

With a scrap piece of white card stock and your black Momento ink, find the small pear outline stamp and stamp on your card stock.  Then with Darling Duckling ink stamp the inside stamp to color your pears and give them some dimension.  With your Pecan Pie Dark Blender Pen color the tree branch.  For the leaves I colored them with the Old Olive Dark Blender Pen and then outlined the lower halves of them with the Mossy Meadow Dark Blender Pen.  For the pears I blended colors from the outside lower edge in with Mossy Meadow Light, Old Olive Light and then Petal Pink Dark Blender Pens leaving the edges jagged instead of solid for more dimension.

Take a scrap piece of Petal Pink and die cut out a label that is about 1” x 2”.  Adhere the pears to the left side.  Take a label from the Perfect Pears dies and cut, then stamp the “A Good Friend is a gift” in Old Olive ink.  Adhere that with pop dots to the right side of the label, overlapping the pears slightly.

Now start building your card by taking the Petal Pink card base and each of the Petal Pink angled pieces and adhere one of the angled pieces to each side on the two tabs.  Cut the tabs where they hang out over the angle.  Fold each side out at the score to form your angled gate fold.  Now adhere your tag to the left front panel of your card with the other half hanging over the other panel (but not adhered to the panel).

Now open the card and adhere each of the white pieces to each side of the white pear paper.  With the Free as a Bird stamp set and Old Olive ink, stamp the “your friendship means the world to me” greeting on the left white panel, and the “thanks for being you” greeting no the right white panel.

This card started with a belly-band wrapped in the Mossy Meadow and Gold Trim ribbon and a label on it layered with more stuff and it was just too much on the card so I changed it over to the label.  You could still do a belly-band but I would keep it fairly plain if you do.  I am now in love with this card and I always love gate fold cards.

Charming Day Floral Thanks Card

This Floral Charm suite is a really pretty set and I really like that the back of each floral piece of the Floral Charm designer series paper matches the front perfectly.  The floral papers are just beautiful, including this lovely berry burst piece I used for this card.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Berry Burst card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Smokey Slate card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Floral Charm designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Charming Day stamps (Stampin’ Up)
  • Berry Burst ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Berry Burst ribbon (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Scoring board or paper trimmer scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

From your Berry Burst card stock cut a card base to 4 ¼” x 5 ½” and the fold over flap to 1 7/8” x 11” and fold in half.  From the Smokey Slate card stock cut a piece to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”, two pieces to 1 ¾” x 4 1/8” and another piece to 1 3/8” x 3 5/8”.  Take your Floral Charm designer series paper pack find the piece with the large pink flowers and also the piece of Berry Burst.  Cut two of the floral pieces (highlighting the pink flowers) to 1 5/8” x 4”.  From the berry Burst designer series paper 1 5/8” x 4”.

With the Smokey Slate piece you cut to 1 3/8” x 3 5/8”, Berry Burst in and the “Thanks for being you” greeting stamp from the Charming Day stamp set and stamp in the other portion.  Take the Berry Brust ribbon and wrap a piece around the Smoky Slate card stock piece about a 1/3 of the way down from the top and tie a knot and trip ends to preferred length.  Take of the of the 1 ¾” x 4 1/8” Smokey Slate pieces you cut and stamp the “you made my day” greeting toward the top.

Now just start building your layers.  Take your Berry Burst card base and the Smokey Slate piece cut to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and adhere to the Berry Brust.  Then adhere each of your two floral pieces, one to each side.  On the outside of your flap layer your piece of Smokey Slate, the Berry Burst designer series paper piece and then the stamped Smokey Slate piece stamped “Thanks for being you”.

Take your 1 7/8” x 11” piece you folded in half and adhere to the center portion of your card.

There, you now have a pretty card to give to someone who made your day, so you can make theirs as well.

Painterly Pears Hello Card

I am in love with this card and how it turned out with the Painterly Pairs suite from Stampin’ Up, and I like the fold as well, it all worked perfectly.  I am pretty sure this is going to be one of my new favorites and the papers are just beautiful and in my color palette.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Darling Duckling card stock (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Painterly Pears designer series paper (July 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Perfectly Pears stamp set and dies (July 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Inks
    • Darling Ducking ink (2025-2027 In Color Stampin Up)
    • Old Olive ink (Stampin’ Up)
    • Pecan Pie ink (Stampin’ Up)
    • Momento Black Ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Blender Pens (Stampin’ Up)
    • Darling Ducking (light and dark)
    • Old Olive (light and dark)
    • Mossy Meadow (light and dark)
    • Pecan Pie (light)
  • Mossy Meadow and Gold Trim ribbon (Stampin’ Up)
  • Scoring board or paper trimmer scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

From the Darling Ducking card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and score at 1 ¼” and 5 ½” and fold both ends up.  With your white card stock cut a piece for the inside to 4” x 5 ¼”.  From the Painterly Pears designer series paper, find the piece of Darling Duckling paper with the pears and the piece with the pink lined grids.  From the pears piece cut a piece to 2 ¾” x 5 ¼” and then from the grid paper cut a piece to 1” x 5 ¼”.

Grab some spare white card stock and your black Momento ink and stamp two of the small pears and one of the group of three flowers.  For the small pears, take your Darling Duckling ink and the small pear inside stamp and stamp the inside of the pears.  Then use your Old Olive Blender Pen light and do some shading and then with the Mossy Meadow light a bit more.  For the branch color with the Pecan Pie light and for the leaves I colored them in Old Olive Light and Mossy Meadow dark.  For the flower bunch I just used the full flower and cut it apart from the others.  Then I used the center stamp with Pecan Pie ink and stamped the center.  Then I used Darling Duckling Blender pens, light for the full flower and then dark coming in a bit from the center for highlights.

With some spare Darling Duckling card stock use the label die from the Perfect Pears die set to cut the large label.  On another spare piece find the “Hello” greeting from the Perfect Pears stamp set and stamp in Old Olive ink.  Use the small square label die to cut that out.  Now take a spare piece of Old Olive card stock and cut out the hash design die and also a stem of leaves.

Grab your Darling Duckling card base and adhere to pears paper to the right side and the grid paper to the left side.  Take the Mossy Meadow and Gold Trim ribbon and wrap around the inside of your card and tie in a knot and position to the right side of your card.

Now take the Darling Duckling large label you cut and let’s get that decorated.  Start by adhering the hash cutout toward the left side of the label.  Take your leaves cut-out and break it up into two pieces and then take one leaf off to use with your flower.  Adhere the leaves to the back of one of your stamped pears sets and then use pop dots to adhere you pears to the right side of your tag.  Adhere the single leaf you saved to the back of your flower and then adhere your flower to the upper right of the tag.  Then use pop dots to adhere your hello in the space left over the hash cutout.  Put adhesive to the left side of your tag and adhere to the lower front of your card with the adhesive side on the pear paper section.

For the inside, take the piece of white card stock you cut earlier and adhere your other set of pears in the lower right corner and then adhere to the inside of your card.

That finishes off your Perfect Pears card to send out to someone just to say hello.

Peachy Sweet Friend Card

I like the blue added with the peaches for this paper and card from the You’re a Peach designer series paper from Stampin’ Up.  It is a pretty easy card as it is mainly cutting some paper and just stamp a few greetings.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • White card stock
  • You’re a Peach designer series paper (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Sweet as a Peach stamp set
  • Balmy Blue or Marina Mist stamped off ink (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Circle die
  • Artistry Bloom Adhesive-Backed Sequins
  • Scoring board or paper trimmer scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scissors
  • Adhesive of choice

With your white cards stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and score at 1 ¼” and 4 ¼” and fold both up to form your card base.  From the You’re a Peach designer series paper find the blue stripe piece and the blue with peaches piece.  From the blue with peaches piece, cut two pieces to 3” x 5 ½”.  From the blue stripes piece cut two pieces 1 ¼” x 5 ½”.

From a spare piece of the blue with peaches paper and a pair of scissors cut two of the peaches with leaves out, or you can also choose to stamp them and die cut them out.  From a spare piece of white card stock cut a 2 5/8” circle.

Take your white card base and your two blue stripe pieces and adhere one to the right edge of the inside of your card and the other to the 1 ¼” flap on the front of your card, which when closed forms 2 ½” of stripes on the right side of your card.  Take one of the blue with peaches pieces and adhere to the left side of the front of your card going under the blue stripe flap.  Adhere the other to the inside left of your card.

Find your blue ink which is listed as Balmy Blue, but I didn’t have that so I used Marina Mist and stamped off to lighten it.  Take your circle and your blue ink and stamp the “Have a Peachy day” from the Sweet as a Peach stamp set to the lower right side of the circle.  Adhere your two cut out peaches to the left side of the circle around your greeting.  Then use three of the orange sequins from the Artistry Bloom Adhesive-Backed Sequins around the blank area.  Adhere to the front of your blue stripe front flap.  Use some of the blue sequins from the Artistry Bloom Adhesive-Backed Sequins randomly on the blue stripes.

Use your “To a sweet friend” greeting stamp from Sweet as a Peach stamp set and your blue ink and stamp on the upper white portion of the inside of your card.

This gives you an adorable card to let a friend know you care.

Fine Art Floral Lovely Card

This beautiful card is made with the Fine Art Floral designer series paper from Stampin’ Up.  This section of the paper was just calling out to be the star of a card (though the pinks look a lot different in the photos, they matched in person).

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Petal Pink card stock
  • Poppy Parade card stock
  • Fine Art Floral designer series paper (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Poppy Parade or Sweet Sorbet ink (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Art Gallery stamps (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

With the Petal Pink card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Then cut another piece to 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” for the inside and a piece to ¾” x 3 7/8” for the bottom greeting portion of the card.  From Poppy Parade cut two pieces to 4” x 5 ¼”.  From the Fine Art Floral designer series paper pack find the Petal Pink with pink flowers piece and choose one section to showcase on your card, cut to 3 7/8” x 4 ½”.

Adhere the floral piece to the top of one of the Poppy Parade Pieces.  Take your ¾” x 3 7/8” piece of Petal Pink you cut along with the “you are lovely” greeting from the Art Gallery stamp set and stamp in Poppy Parade (or in my case Sweet Sorbet).  Adhere to the bottom portion below the floral piece.

Wrap some of the white Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon between the two and adhere to the back of the Poppy Parade.  Adhere this to the front of your Petal Pink card  base.

Take the Petal Pink piece you cut to the Poppy Parade piece and adhere to the inside of your card.  I decided not to stamp a greeting to the inside so it could be used for a variety of reasons.

This card was so fast and easy, it just took a few minutes to put together and I would give it to anyone of my friends or family.

Fine Art Floral Bandstand Card

I finally made a bandstand style card, as it has been on my list to try but was waiting for something that seemed like it fit well.  The Fine Art Floral that had the matching Golden Garden transparent designer series paper from Stampin’ Up a few years ago seemed like the perfect fit as the Golden Garden paper lines up to match with the Fine Art Floral paper.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Crushed Curry card stock
  • White card stock
  • Fine Art Floaral designer series paper (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Golden Garden transparent designer series paper (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Art Gallery stamps and dies (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Crushed Curry ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Scoring board or paper trimmer scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

I used Crushed Curry but it isn’t one of the colors listed, looks like it is So Saffron but I couldn’t find a piece of that.  This card is actually pretty quick to make, a bit of cutting but not really any stampings, so just cut and put together.

With your Crushed Curry card stock cut a card base to 4 ¼” x 5 ½ and score at 1 1/8” and 3 1/8” and fold both sides to the front.  The cut another two pieces to 1 ¼” x 4 ¾” scored at ¼”, 1 3/8”, 3 3/8” and 4 ½” and fold all to the back.  With your white card stock cut a piece to 1 7/8” x 5 3/8” for the back of your card.

From the Fine Art Floral designer series paper of and the piece that has the floral and white space in the upper left that matches up with the piece of Golden Garden transparent designer series paper.  You will want to cut the same sections of each so they line up, cut each to 3 7/8” x 5 3/8” and cut 1” off of each side of both pieces.  Then find the yellow design piece of paper and cut two pieces to 1 1/8” x 3 7/8” and then cut 1” off of each side, keeping them aligned together.

Take your three pieces of floral paper and adhere to the front three panels of your card base.  Take the two outside pieces of your Golden Garden and adhere to each side of the back of your card base, and adhere the white piece to the back.  Use a general birthday greeting stamp to the upper center of your white piece in Crushed Curry ink.  I used a stamp greeting that says “wishing you the best today and always.”

Take your two Crushed Curry stripes and adhere the yellow designer series paper pieces to the three sections of each.  Adhere the Golden Garden to the back of one of the yellow stripe center sections, leaving about 1/16” and then adhere to the other piece.  Adhere all four ¼” tabs to the front of your card base.

With a spare piece of white card stock and Crushed Curry ink stamp the “Happy Birthday” greeting from the Art Gallery stamp set and use the long postage edge die to cut it out.  I did cut it twice, closer on one end to short it and the lined up and cut off the other end.  Adhere onto a small piece of Crushed Curry and adhere to the lower front.

This was a quick fun card to make, not sure why I waited so long to try making one.
