Simply Elegant Black and Copper Anniversary Card

This beautiful paper has been waiting to get used and this seemed like the perfect design to use it on.  It is really easy but also elegant.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Basic Black card stock
  • Copper Metallic card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Light gray card stock
  • Simply Elegant designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Memorable Blooms stamp set (Stampin’ Up)
  • Happy Anniversary stamp
  • Jet Black StazOn ink or Basic Black ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

For your card base take your Basic Black card stock and cut a piece to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 8 ½”.  With the Copper Metallic card stock cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼”.  From the Simply Elegant designer series paper find the floral black and copper piece and cut a piece to 3 ¾” x 4 ½” and cut it on the diagonal from the left corner to the lower right corner.  Cut another piece to 1 ½” x 4”.  With the light gray card stock cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼”.

Take your Basic Black card base and adhere the copper piece to the front panel  Align your diagonal pieces and adhere in each corner.  Adhere the light gray piece to the inside and the copper floral strip to the bottom.

With your Memorable Blooms stamp set find the greeting that says “You mean the world to me” and stamp that with the black in centered in the angle on the front of your card.  NOTE:  If you have Jet Black StazOn in I would suggest that as it will dry faster, the Basic Black was slow to dry on the copper.  The other suggestion is to be careful when stamping on the copper as it is slippery and your stamp could slide.

With your black ink stamp Happy Anniversary on the upper portion of the light gray card stock on the inside of your card.

This is a nice anniversary card for anyone, as with the colors could be masculine enough even though it is floral.

Floral Impressions Thank You Card

With the Floral Impressions designer series paper and the Impressions Abloom stamp set you can make this nice thank you card.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Fresh Freesia card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Floral Impressions designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Impressions Abloom stamp set (Stampin’ Up)
  • Fancy Border dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink Gems
  • Fresh Freesia ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scissors
  • Adhesive of choice

With a piece of Fresh Freesia card stock cut a piece to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half for your card base.  Cut another piece to 1 ¾” x 3” and one to 3” x 5 ½”.  From the white card stock cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼” and a second piece to 1 ½” x 2 ¾”.  With the Floral Impressions designer series paper find the piece with the Fresh Freesia strips and then also the floral piece with the blue and purple flowers.  Cut a piece of each to 3” x 5 ½”.  With the Fresh Freesia strip piece cut another to 1” x 4”.

Take the border die and the Fresh Freesia and Fresh Freesia strip piece you cut to 3” x 5 ½” and push the strip piece in ¼” over the Fresh Freesia piece on the left side, take the die and cut both pieces together on the right side a few inches in or so.  Adhere the floral piece to the right side of your card base, then the fresh freesia piece to the right and then the strip piece to the right as well, forming a Fresh Freesia border between the two designer series papers.

Take an extra piece of the floral paper and cut out some of the flowers.  I used one of the larger purple flowers, one of the larger blue flowers and then two each of the smaller purple and light blue flowers.  Also cut three of the leaves.  With the Strawberry Slush gems add as centers to the three purple and the large blue flowers.

With the Fresh Freesia piece cut to 1 ¾” x 3” and the white piece that was cut to 1 ½” x 2 ¾”.  Put the two pieces together and cut with the border die.  Align to the left and adhere together.  With your Impressions Abloom stamp set find the “Thanks” and “So very much” greeting stamps and with your Fresh Fressia ink stamp toward the right side.  Adhere about 1” in toward the bottom of your card front.  Then adhere your cut out flowers to the left side of the label.

With the “I appreciate you” greeting from the Floral Impressions stamp set and the Fresh Freesia ink stamp on the upper center of the white insert for the inside of your card.  Take the Fresh Freesia strip piece adhere that toward the bottom of the white insert.  Adhere to the inside of your card.

Now you have a nice Thank You card for the next time you need one.

Encircled in Nature Stargazing Birthday Card

This card made with the Stampin’ Up Stargazing paper is just stunning and great for any of the men in your life.   It uses the Encircled in Nature stamps and dies from Stampin’ Up which also includes a star and moon stamp.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Night of Navy card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Blueberry Bushel card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Stargazing designer series paper (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Encircled in Nature stamps and dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Night of Navy ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

With the Night of Navy card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½”, folded in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  From the Blueberry Bushel cut two pieces 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”.  Find the star paper you would like to use from the Stargazing designer series paper pack and cut two pieces to 4” x 5 ¼”.  Then from your white card stock cut a piece to 1 3/8” x 3 5/8” and another to 3 ¼” x 3 ¼”.

Take one of your Stargazing designer series paper pieces and your larger circle die and center it the same distance from the top and two sides with the tab to the top and cut.  Adhere it to one of your Blueberry Bushel pieces and then adhere to the front of your card.  Take the smaller circle die and align in the center of your larger cut out, aligning the tab to the top as well and cut.

Take your second piece of Stargazing paper and adhere to the other piece of Blueberry Bushel card stock and adhere to the inside of the card.  Take the white card stock piece cut to 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” and cut out your white piece with the smaller circle die.  Put adhesive on the back of your white cut out, close your card and align the white circle into the front of your card so it is all lined up and then adhere.

Take the “May this year be incredible and filled with possibilities” greeting stamp and your Night of Navy ink and stamp on your white circle, toward the top.  Then with the star and moon stamp, stamp at the bottom of the circle below the greeting.

Now with your More Memories stamp set, take the “Happy Birthday” greeting, the Night of Navy ink and your last piece of white card stock you cut and stamp.  Adhere this to the inside of your card toward the bottom under the circle.

Toadstool Gardens Angled Window Card

This angled window card made with the Toadstool Gardens designer series paper is very cute and while I am not usually a brights fan, this paper pack has won my heart.  It took a bit of playing with to get it to work but was so worth it.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Melon Mambo card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Toadstool Gardens designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Mixed Labels stamp set (Stampin’ Up)
  • Square dies, largest measuring about 1 ¼” and then the next size down
  • Square dies, largest measuring about 1 ¾” and then the next size up
  • Melon Mambo ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Melon Mambo Ribbon (Stampin’ Up)
  • Scoring board or paper trimmer scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

With your Melon Mambo cut a card base to 5 ½” x 11” and score at 3 ¼” and 7 5/8”.  On the inside right panel make a mark down 1 ¼” and at the bottom mark in from the first score mark 1 5/8”.  With your paper trimmer place the first score mark at the cutting edge and angle down to the 1 ¼” mark and cut the angle.  Then from the bottom 1 5/8” mark up to the point from your first cut and cut your second angle, which gives you your front panel angles.  For the left panel, mark down 1” and cut an angle from the left score mark to your 1” mark.  Take the larger of the two square dies and angle it along your angles of the front panel and cut a hole about ¼” in from each side.

Grab your Toadstool Gardens designer series paper pack and find the multi-color dot paper, a piece of the wavy paper and also the paper that has the little flowers on it.  With the multi-color dot paper, cut two piece to 3 1/8” x 5 ¼”.  Take one piece and mark down 1 ¼” on the dot side and in from the right side on the bottom mark at 1 ½” and then cut your angles and adhere to the front right panel of your card.  On the second dot piece, mark down 1” on the left side and cut the angle down.

I think the easiest way to line up your box for the back panel is to align your paper on the front of the panel and close the front panel onto it and then use a pencil to lightly draw your box, and then use the same bigger square die and cut the hole.  Then adhere it to the front of the left panel.  Now with some white card stock cut out a smaller square and adhere that in the center of the left panel square cutout.  With the floral designer series paper you pulled out, cut out one of the flowers and adhere that to your white square so you see it through the front panel when closed.

Take the white piece of card stock you cut and adhere that to the inside of your card.  With your Mixed Labels stamp set and your Melon Mambo ink and stamp the “I’m so glad we’re friends” greeting on a spare piece of white card stock and cut out with a 1 ¾” square and then cut the next size up die out of Melen Mambo card stock.  Adhere the white greeting to the Melon Mambo and then to the inside of your card.

For your belly band cut a piece of Melon Mambo card stock to 1” x 9 ½”, loosely fold this over your card side and meet in the back and adhere the ends together.  Now cut a piece of the wavy designer series paper to ¾” x 4 ¼” and adhere to your adhered ends side to hide your ends.  Then wrap the belly band with ribbon and tie a not and trim ends.

You have now created the Toadstool Gardens Angled Window card and it wasn’t so bad, when you have directions.

Impressions Abloom Easel Card

I was excited to use this new Stampin’ Up Online Exclusive set called Impressions Abloom suite.  It uses a few of the new In Colors, this card is made with the new Strawberry Slush In Color.  I am already in love with this new color as it isn’t pale but it also isn’t really bright.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Strawberry Slush card stock (Stampin’ Up 2025-2027 In Colors)
  • White card stock
  • Vellum
  • Floral Impressions designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Impressions Abloom stamp set and dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Strawberry Slush ink (Stampin’ Up 2025-2027 In Colors)
  • Strawberry Slush and Pretty In Pink Gems
  • Scoring board or paper trimmer scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scissors
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

To start this card you need to take your Strawberry Slush card stock and cut a card base to 4 ¼” x 11”, folded in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  From your Floral Impressions designer series paper, find the Strawberry Slush floret piece that has the small florals on the other side which is needed as well.  Cut two pieces of this paper to 4” x 5 ¼”.  Adhere the Strawberry Slush floret piece to the front of your card base, make sure you only put adhesive around the edges as you will have to be able to slide your vellum piece in.  Use your scoring board or scoring blade and score the front portion in half, scored at 2 ¾” and folded.  Now take the other oval die that has the dotted edge, cut an oval in the middle of your card front.  Keep both of the edge pieces.

With your white card stock cut and oval with the Impressions Abloom dies oval without the decorative dots.  With your vellum cut a piece to 3 3/8” x 4 ½”, then with the same oval die cut halfway down leaving the bottom portion in tacked.   Cut the top portion of the vellum outside.

The hardest part is to then get your card stock and Strawberry Slush card front to split apart so you can insert the piece of vellum in between them.  Get the vellum inserted and centered.  Take the Strawberry Slush dotted oval edge from when you cut your front ovel and adhere to the vellum, inserting it into your oval with the front laying flat so it is all lined up.  Then take the Strawberry Slush floret piece and adhere to the back of your vellum oval.

Now from your Floral Impressions designer series paper pack find the piece that has all the different florals from the pack on one and with the two pinks on the left side cut out three different larger flowers with stems, three of the lighter pink daisy flowers and three of the small Strawberry Slush flowers (or you can use stamps and dies to cut out flowers from the Impressions Abloom dies if you prefer not to have to “fussy cut” the flowers like I did).  Arrange these around your oval on the front of your card for decoration.

For the inside of your card take the floral piece you cut to 4” x 5 ¼” and adhere to the inside of your card.  Then take the white card stock oval and the “Thanks” and “so very much” stamps and stamp them centered on the oval.  Put adhesive on the back of your oval and put it into the oval from your card base (behind the vellum) to align and then close your card on to it.  Now add three of the smaller Strawberry Slush embellishments below your greeting for the folded card front to be able to stand against.

You now have a great card to give to someone you appreciate for what they do for you.

Cut a piece of Blueberry Bushell card stock to 4 ¼” x 11” and score at 5 ½” and 8 ¼” to form you Z-fold card base.  With the Pretty in Pink card stock cut a piece to 3” x 9” and scored at 4 ¼” and 6 5/8”.  Take your white card stock and cut a piece to 2 ¾” x 4” for the front of your card and cut two pieces to 2 1/8” x 2 ¾”.  Find the pink gingham paper in the Wildflower Birthday pack and cut one piece 4” x 5 ¼”, two pieces to 2 ¾” x 4” and two to ¾” x 2 ¾”.

Daffodil Afternoon Thank You Card

To be honest, most of this card was designed by my Stampin’ Up upline demonstrator.  I found it in a big stack I had built up in a spot in my craft room.  I had that pile built up for my mom and I to work on together and she passed away unexpectedly and I just haven’t been able to deal with it.  It has now been almost three years and I have finally dug into it and found a bunch of stuff to play with.  This was in there as a card ready to make which I modified a bit.  But it is perfect for this time of year as my daffodils are up already.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Very Vanilla card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Mossy Meadow card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Basic Black card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Daffodil Afternoon designer series paper (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Dainty Delight stamp set (Stampin’ Up)
  • Mossy Meadow ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Scallop Edge rectangular dies (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Crushed Curry crinkle ribbon (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

With your Very Vanilla card stock cut a card base to 4 ¼” x 11” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Cut another piece for the inside of your card to 3 ½” x 4 ¼”.  Take your Mossy Meadow card stock and cut a piece to 3 3/8” x 4 7/8” and another for the inside to 4” x 5 ¼”.  Grab the Basic Black card stock and your scallop edge die that measures about 3 7/8” x 5 ¼” and cut.  Take the daffodil paper from the Daffodil Afternoon designer series paper pack and your smaller scallop die measuring around 3 1/8” x 4 ½” and cut.  Find a label die large enough for the “Celebrate You” from the Dainty Delight stamp set, stamp your greeting onto the in Mossy Meadow ink.

Take your Very Vanilla card base and adhere the Basic Black decorative piece, then the Mossy Meadow piece  measuring 3 3/8” x 4 7/8”.  Now with the daffodil piece adhere that to the Mossy Meadow with pop dots to make it stand out a bit.  Adhere your label to the lower right.  With the Crushed Curry crinkle ribbon tie a bow and adhere to the upper left corner of your label.

For the inside take the Very Vanilla piece and your Mossy Meadow ink and stamp the “Thank You for your Kindness”.  Adhere the Very Vanilla piece to your Mossy Meadow piece and then to the inside of your card.

There is the Daffodil Afternoon thank you card.

Give this diverse black and white double z-fold thank you card to let someone know you appreciate their thoughtfulness and them.

Grace’s Garden Thank You Card

This is one of the prettiest stamp sets and once I saw it had a little kitty (which I didn’t use for this card) I had to have it.  The gate options and different flower groups are just so adorable.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Soft Sky card stock (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Crumb Cake card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Grace’s Garden stamp set and dies (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Jet Black StazOn ink
  • Soft Sky ink (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Lemon Lime Twist (Stampin’ Up)
  • Blending Brushes
  • Brick Embossing Folder (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Corner Rounder
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

For you card base cut a piece of Soft Sky card stock to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½” the use a corner rounder to round the two corners at the fold which then mimic the gate a bit.  Cut two pieces of white card stock to 4” x 5 ¼” and round the top two corners on both of them to match your card.

Take one of your cut white pieces, your Soft Sky and Lemon Lime Twist inks and your blending brushes.  With the Lemon Lime Twist, lightly ink the bottom 1/3 of your paper with the blending brush.  Then lightly do the same to the top half in the Soft Sky.

Now take some scrap white paper and your Jet Black StazOn and stamp three of the climbing rose, two of the tall hollyhocks and two of the daisy and hosta group and two of the small gate pieces.  Take your inside piece of white you cut and stamp a hollyhock on the left side and a climbing rose on the right.  Then also take a small piece of Crumb Cake card stock and emboss it with the brick embossing folder to use for a path.

For the climbing roses I colored them with the Bubble Bath Light Stampin’ Blend and the Old Olive Light.  For the hollyhocks I colored them with the Highland Heather Light Stampin’ Blends and the Lemon Lime Twist Dark Stampin’ Blends.  The daisies I colored with the Limon Lolly Dark Stampin’ Blends and the Hosta with the Pale Papaya Dark Stampin Blends and used the Lemon Lime Twist Light Stampin’ Blends for the leaves.  Use your dies to cut all of these and also the arched gate.  I did have to cut the gate in half so it would open, though the die looked like it should have done it.

Now let’s put it all together.  Adhere your white card stock piece that you colored with the blending brushes to the front of your card.  Then adhere the arched gate in the center with the bottom at the bottom of your white colored piece.  Adhere one of the gates on each side so they will stick out in the background of your flowers.  For the climbing roses I did cut the but of the top of one just to make them look slightly different, then adhere to the edge of your gate climbing the arch.  Put a hollyhock to the far edge of each side.  For the daisy and hosta pieces I cut them apart and adhered the daisy to each side in the front on pop dots to stand it out a bit.  Then I put the path down on the inside of my gate and then put a hosta on each side overlapping the path and then cut the last climbing rose in half and put one on each side of the path as well.

Not with your Jet Black StazOn ink and the “With all my heart” greeting stamp in the center of your gate.

For the inside adhere your white piece with the colored flowers to the inside of your card.  With your Jet Black StazOn and the “I thank you for all the kindness in yours” greeting stamp toward the top center.

That is all there is to making this lovely thank you card.  I am looking and thinking I could have stamped the littly kitty looking up at the hollyhocks on the inside, so there is a suggestion you can add.
