Peaceful Garden Sympathy Card

This lovely Peaceful Garden designer series paper has such pretty colors using the new Secret Sea and Cloud Cover colors from Stampin’ Up, especially the hydrangea piece I used for this sympathy card.  The Peace on Earth stamp set also has some nice sayings.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Secret Sea card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Cloud Cover card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Peaceful Garden designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Peace on Earth stamp set (Stampin’ Up)
  • Hues of Blue Flowers embellishments (Stampin’ Up)
  •  Secret Sea ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

Take a piece of Secret Sea card stock and cut to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half to form your 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card.  Cut a stripe to ½” x 5 ½”.  With your Cloud Cover card stock cut two pieces to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”.  From the Peaceful Garden designer series paper find the hydrangea piece and cut a piece to 4” x 4 ½” with the hydrangea facing up on the 4 ½” direction.  Cut to an angle on the top.

Take a piece of the Cloud Cover you cut, your Secret Sea ink and find the “With deepest sympathy” greeting from the Peace on Earth stamp set and stamp in the upper right corner.

Adhere your hydrangea designer series paper with the angle to the top.   Take the Secret Sea stripe you cut and adhere along the angle over the hydrangea paper, then turn over and trim along the edges.  Adhere to the front of your Secret Sea card base.  With the Hues of Blue flower embellishments, adhere three of the large white flowers in a row along the top left of your card.

Take the second piece of Cloud Cover card stock you cut, the Secret Sea ink and the “sending heartfelt prayers” greeting from the Peace on Earth stamp set.  Stamp in the upper center.  Adhere to the inside of your card.  Place three of the small Hues of Blue flower embellishments around your greeting.

This made a beautiful sympathy card for when you need one.
