Wildflower Birthday Pull Tab Pop-Up Card

This fun pull tab pop-up card made from Wildflower Birthday specialty designer series paper is just beautiful.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Pretty in Pink card stock
  • White card stock
  • Wildflower Birthday specialty designer series paper
  • Flirty Flamingo ink (should be Pretty in Pink ink but I didn’t have that one)
  • Scoring board or scoring blade for paper trimmer
  • Paper trimmer
  • Bone folder
  • Adhesive of choice

Take a piece of Pretty in Pink card stock and cut a card base to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  With your White card stock cut a piece to 4” x 10 ½” and score at 1 ¾”, 3 ½”, 7” and 8 ¾”.  Cut another piece of White card stock to 4” x 4” and score it at ¼” and 3 ¾”.  Cut two strips with the White card stock to 1/2” x 3 ¼” scored at 1 ¼”.  From your Wildflower Birthday Specialty designer series paper find the light green with the white oval decoration paper and cut a piece to 3 3/8” x 3 7/8”

Take the 4” x 10 ½” and from the middle fold each side down and then fold the ends out.  Use a bone folder to press the folds flat.  Take the green piece of paper you cut and adhere to the front of the pop-up middle.  Grab your hexagon die and cut out a window in the center and save the cut-out piece for making the inside section.

Grab the 4” x 4” scored piece and fold each side up from the center.  Put adhesive on the outside of one of the ¼” folded up sides and an adhere to the inside of one of the scored pop-up piece.  Put adhesive on the outside of the other ¼” flap and adhere to the inside of other pop-up side, forming the shape below.  Put adhesive on the green paper you saved from the center cut-out, fold the center down to the other center section to line up and adhere the cut-out piece to the bottom through the cut-out.

Use the cake piece and small floral cut-out from the Wildflower Birthday specialty designer series paper and adhere the cake piece to the center of the green piece and adhere the floral piece on the lower left part of the cake.  Take the pink balloon and a medium floral piece and adhere to the top part of the card around the cut-out.  Adhere two of the cut-out cupcakes  to the right and left pull out sides of the center cut-out section.

Take your pink ink and a “Happy Birthday” stamp of choice and fits well in the center of the cut-out window.  Close in the sides and fold the card down to you have the white window covering the cake piece.  Stamp the “Happy Birthday in the middle of your window.  Take the gold banner piece from the cut-outs and cut in half, cut down to size for each size and align on each side with the banner aligning in the middle.

Take the two ½” x 3 ¼” strips and put adhesive on the 1 ¼” section and adhere to the bottom section of the right pull-out and the same on the left.  Take two of the small pink florets and adhere to the ends of the pull-out stripes.

On the back center section put adhesive and adhere to the center of the pink card stock base.  Decorate with a leaf and two flowers from the cut-out pieces.

Toadstool Garden Birthday

This bright birthday card made with the Toadstool Gardens designer series paper from the 2025 Sale-a-bration paper and is so cute.  This is a quick card to make as well.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Melon Mambo card stock
  • White card stock
  • Natural Beige card stock
  • Toadstool Gardens designer series paper
  • Cheerful Daisies stamp set and dies
  • Sizzix Forest Friends (not sure on the name) dies – Mushroom dies
  • Melon Mambo ink
  • Melon Mambo ribbon or something that matches the paper that you have
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Mini Pop-Dots

With your Melon Mambo card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  With your white card stock cut a piece to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and another to 4” x 5 ¼”.  From your Toadstool Gardens designer series paper find a piece of the pink toadstool paper and the striped paper.  Cut the toadstool paper to 3 ¾” x 4” and the strip paper to 2” x 4”.

Grab a scrap piece of White card stock, your Cheerful Daisies stamp set and your Melon Mambo ink.  Find the “wishing you the brightest birthday” stamp and stamp it in the Melon Mambo ink.  Use the label die from the Cheerful Daisies dies to cut out your greeting.  Take a spare piece of Melon Mambo card stock and your mushroom dies and cut out a set of mushroom tops, and with a scrap piece of Natural Beige and cut out your toadstool stems and adhere together.

Now lets put it all together.  Take your white piece of card stock cut to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and adhere your toadstool piece to the top and your striped piece to the bottom.  Take your ribbon and rap around and adhere to the back, covering the change from one design to the other.  Adhere that to the front of your Melon Mambo card base.

Add mini pop-dots to the back of the label and adhere over the ribbon to the right side.  Take the other piece of White card stock you cut and adhere that to the inside of your card.  Adhere the mushrooms in the lower right corner.

And that is all there is to making this cute toadstool birthday card.

Wildflower Tower Flap Card

This fun and easy card is so cute and I enjoyed making it so much.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Basic Grey card stock
  • White card stock
  • Heart and Home designer series paper
  • Nature’s Harvest stamp set and dies
  • Tim Holtz Wildflower Dies (you could also use the dies from Nature’s Harvest dies)
  • Basic Grey ink
  • Grey twine
  • Scoring board or scoring blade for paper trimmer
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop-Dots

With your Basic Grey card stock cut a card base to 4 ¼” x 5 ½” and score in half at 2 1/8”.  Cut six (6) planks out of your Basic Grey card stock with three (3) measuring 1” x 4 ¼”, one (1) measuring 1 3/8” x 4 ¼” and two (2) to 5/8” x 4 ¼”.   With your White card stock cut two pieces to 2” x 5 3/8” for the back of your card.

Cut out six flowers\leaves for your card out of the basic grey, the have to fit two on each half without going over so you need to pick accordingly.  I chose the three daisys, one for each side and one for the back and then two different sprigs (one of one and two of the other) that were skinner to help them fit.

With your Heart and Home designer series paper pack choose one of the pieces that has the white wood, I used the one that looked like one solid piece so I didn’t have division lines.  Cut three (3) to ¾” x 4”, one (1) to 1 ¼” x 4” and two (2) to ½” x 4”.

Take your Nature’s Harvest stamp set and your Basic Grey ink with a scrap piece of White card stock and stamp the “Sending healing thoughts may nature’s beauty bring peace to your soul”  Use the long label die from the Nature’s Harvest dies to cut out your words.

Now you just need to assemble it all.  With your white wood planks, adhere them to the appropriate Basic Grey planks.  Fold your scored card base in half.  Starting from the bottom of your card base adhere a 1” plank to the left half of the card base.  Adhere the next plank measuring 5/8” to the right side with a very small space left between so they don’t rub with they swing.  Then another 1” piece to the left, 1 ½” piece to the right, 5/8” piece to the left and the last 1” piece to the top.

Fold up so you can see where the center is.  Trim the bottom one of the sprigs so it just will hang over to the top of the bottom plank and adhere to the top, third and fifth plank, and the same with one of the daisy’s making sure it isn’t overlapping the center, or it will bend.  Do the same on the right side adhere to the second, fourth and to the very top of the sixth plank.  Adhere your saying to the middle of the bottom plank.  Tye a bow with some grey twine and adhere to the second plank flower stem.

Take the two pieces of White card stock and the leftover flower and spring for the back of the card.  Adhere one of the white pieces to one side of the back and then the other on the other side.  Adhere your sprig and flower to the left side, leaving the right side for a message and signing your card.

Queen Bee Pop-Up Frame Card

I just love the Queen Bee stamp set from Stampin’ Up and I just had to have it, but and this is the first time I have actually used it so was really excited to make this card.  With this pop-up frame fun fold card it was perfect and I love the way this card stands up when open and is decorated on both sides.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • More Mustard card stock
  • Cinnamon Cider card stock
  • Old Olive card stock
  • Natural Beige card stock
  • Queen Bee stamp set and dies
  • Honeycomb die (if you don’t have one you could also do something with a honeycomb embossing folder)
  • Party Dots Stampin’ Up embellishments
  • More Mustard ink
  • Cinnamon Cider ink
  • Old Olive ink
  • Light Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends
  • Scoring board of paper trimmer with scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Mini Pop-Dots

Take your More Mustard card stock and cut in half the long way to 4 ¼” x 11”.  Score at 1 ½” and at 5 ½” and fold both inward.  Then cut a piece of More Mustard to 4 /4” x 5” and score at ½” and 4 ½”, then fold both sides up.  Now take the Cinnamon Cider card stock and cut two pieces to 3 ¾” x 4” and cut another piece to 1 ¼” x 4”.  Take the Natural Beige card stock and cut a piece to 3 ¾” x 4”.

Take your two pieces of Cinnamon Cider that you cut to 3 ¾” x 4” and your honeycomb die and cut out a corner of each.  Take some spare of the Natural Beige card stock and the More Mustard ink, stamp the one of large queen bee stamp and the small bees and use the dies to cut each of them out.  Also take the piece of Natural Beige card stock you cut to 3 ¾” x 4” and in the upper right corner with the piece going the long way and stamp one of the small bees.  Take a spare piece of Natural Beige card stock and stamp “happy birthday” stacked in Cinnamon Cider and then use the label die to cut that out.  Take the floral spray stamp and stamp that in Old Olive and then cut out with the die.  Now take the Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends pen and color the flowers.

Take your Old Olive card stock and cut one of the large curved leaves and six of the small leaves.  Use a spare piece of the More Mustard card stock and cut out three large flowers and three small flowers.  With your Party Dots embellishments, use three of the small yellow for centers on your small flowers and three of the large for centers of the larger flowers.

Now you have everything you need to assembly your card.  Grab your 4 ¼” x 11” scored piece of More Mustard and let’s get it decorated.  Take one of the Cinnamon Cider pieces with the honeycomb cut-out and adhere it to the front 4” x 4 ¼” section with the honeycomb cut-out in the upper left corner.  Put a mini pop dot on the back of the small bee cut-out and adhere it in the upper right corner.  Adhere the large curved leaves in the lower right corner along with one of the smaller leaves toward the middle.  Put the “happy birthday” label over it and decorate with one large and one small flower.

In the 1 ½” x 4 ¼” section of your card front, adhere the 1 ¼ x 4” piece centered.  Take three of the small die cut leaves and the floral spray and arrange and adhere center in this section, not going outside of the 1 ½” x 4 ¼” section.

Now take the 4 ¼” x 5” scored piece of the More Mustard card stock and adhere the second Cinnamon Cider honeycomb piece with the scored flaps folded down with the honeycomb in the lower right corner.  Take one of the last two smaller leaves a adhere that and one small and one large flower in the upper right corner.  Then take the last leaf die cut and one large flower and adhere in the lower left corner.  Adhere the Queen Bee die cut image in the center area.  Put glue on the upper flap and stick to the bottom of the 1 ½” x 4 ¼” piece to start to for your square frame.  Then lay flat and put adhesive on the lower flap and fold the card shut to adhere in the correct place.  Now take your little bee stamped piece of Natural Beige and adhere to the inside of your card.  Adhere your last small flower in the lower left corner.

Now you have a beautiful birthday card to send to someone you care about.

Delightful Wishes Angled Z-Fold Card

This Wishing You Well angled z-fold card  is fun to make and so fun and bright, it just makes you smile.

To create this card you just need a few things:

  • Daffodil Delight card stock
  • White card stock
  • Floral Delight designer series paper pack
  • Delightful Wishes stamp and die bundle
  • Lemon Lolly ink pad
  • Daffodil Delight ink pad
  • Old Olive ink pad
  • Pecan Pie ink pad (I didn’t have so I used Copper Clay ink pad instead)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scissors
  • Adhesive of choice

With a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock, cut your card base to 5 ½” x 11”.  Score at 3 3/8” and at 6 ¾”.  Cut the angle staring in the upper right-hand corner and down to 3” at the left side.  Fold into the z-shape on the left side of the card.

Take the Floral Delight designer series paper pack and pull out three pieces to use, I used the floral doily, gingham and flowers on stick papers.  Take the flowers on stick paper and cut a piece 4” x 5 ¼” and angle from 5 ¼” on the right down to 4 3/8” on the right.  Then cut a piece of the gingham to 3 1/8 x 4 ¼” and angle this from 4 ¼” on the right side down to 3 ½” on the left side and a piece of white card stock to the same dimensions but angle to the right.  Now take the floral doily piece and cut it to 3 1/8” x 3 3/8” and angle from the right side down to 2 5/8” on the left.

With a piece of spare white card stock and the Delightful Wishes stamp set.  Stamp the filled in floral stamp in the Lemon Lolly ink, then use the highlight floral stamp in Daffodil Delight ink and line up and stamp over the Lemon Lolly.  Now use the Pecan Pie ink (or in my case the Copper Clay ink as I couldn’t find my Pecan Pie ink pad) and line up and stamp the stem.  Then take the Old Olive ink with the leave stamp and line up and stamp the leaves.  This gives you a beautiful floral decoration for the front of your card, you will need to cut out the floral decoration by hand.

Take a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock and white card stock and use the two wishing dies from the Delightful Wishes die set.  Cut the think wishing out of the Daffodil Delight and the background wishing out of the white. Adhere together.  Use the long label die from the die set and cut out a label.  Use the Old Olive ink and stamp the You Well onto the label.  The cut off the other end of the label by lining it up to cut it to your desired length.  Adhere the wishing die cut to the front of your card down toward the bottom, the “g” will hang off a bit over the middle.  Adhere the You Well center below the wishing.  The adhere the floral decoration you created above and hanging over the angle.  Adhere the white angled piece to the inside on
the back center angle.

Tri-Fold Valentine Card

This beautiful tri-fold valentine card is so fun to make and give to anyone.  It is very basic wit just some cutting, scoring, folding and die cutting a bunch of different hearts and the arranging them however you like.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Real Red card stock
  • Flirty Flamingo card stock
  • White card stock
  • Variety of heart dies and\or punches
  • Paper trimmer with a scoring blade or a score pad
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop-Dots

Take your Real Red card stock and cut a piece 5 ½ x 8 ¼”.  Then you will need to score that at 2 1/8”, 3 1/8”, 5 1/8” and 6 1/8”.  Then fold accordingly to fold your card as below.

Then take your pink Flirty Flamingo card stock and cut two pieces to 1 7/8” x 5 ¼” and one piece to 1 ¾” x 5 ¼”.  Now with the white card stock cut two pieces to 1 5/8” x 5” and one piece to 1 ½” x 5”.  Layer each of the two 1 5/8” white pieces onto the 1 7/8” pink pieces and then the one piece of 1 ½” while onto the 1 ¾” pink piece.  The single size piece goes into your middle layer and the two pieces go on the front and back panels.

Now just die cut and\or punch a bunch of different heart shapes, sizes and decorations and arrange them how you like on each panel.  Just make sure they show how you want when the panels are flat as well.  I put the big red heart on the front panel and then placed the rest around that so they all showed nicely.  I also put a few of the hearts on the front panel on pop-dots just to add some depth.  I also found a cute little saying and put it on at tag on the front large heart.

Wildflower Birthday Cake Cut-Out Card

This adorable card is so easy to make and hardly even requires stamping, it is mainly using the cut-outs that come with the Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper pack from Stampin’ Up’s January-April 2025 Mini catalog.  It comes with the normal double-sided paper and then two sheets to cut-outs as well.

To create this card you just need a few things:

  • White card stock
  • Peach Pie card stock
  • Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper pack
  • Peach Pie ink pad
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop-Dots

To start cut your Peach Pie card stock into 4 ¼” x 11” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Then cut another piece of the Peach Pie card stock to 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”.  Now take your piece of white card stock and cut two pieces to 4” x 5 ¼” and another to 2 ½” x 4”.  The last is to take a piece of the Peach Pie Daisy paper from your Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper pack and cut a piece 3 ¾” x 5”.  That takes care of all the cutting.

Let’s build our layers for the front of the card.  Take your card base and adhere one of the 4” x 5 ¼” pieces of white card stock to the front of the card.  Then adhere your Peach Pie Daisy piece of card stock onto the white.  Add the 2 ¾” x 4 ¼” piece of Peach Pie card stock and then lastly the 2 ½” x 4” white piece of card stock.  From the Wildflower Birthday pack take the larger peach cake cut-out from one of your pieces, along with one of the very small flower groupings and one of the cupcakes, I used the one with the peach paper and teal frosting.

First, take the small flower cut-out and adhere it to the cake base for decoration, then take the cake cut-out and add Pop-Dots to the back of the cake and adhere it to the center of the top white piece of card stock to finish the front of your card.

Take the last piece of white card stock for the inside of your card and adhere the cupcake to the lower right corner.  For the inside greeting I used the Delightful Wishes stamp and die set where I took my Peach Pie ink and stamped “wishing” onto a piece of white card stock and then took the wishing die and cut out my stamped wishing.  I adhered that to the top of the white card stock inside piece.  Finally, I stamped “you a happy birthday” under the wishing die cut greeting.  Now adhere your white inside piece to the inside of your card.

Wasn’t that easy and quick, and it is such a cute card.

Citrus Blooms Lemon Upside-Down Double Z-Fold Card

Z-fold cards are so fun and adorable, and this Double Z-fold card is even better and more fun as you can decorate across the second z-fold and\or on the card layers.  This design takes that normal Double Z-Fold and flips it upside down as the second, smaller z-fold is usually toward the bottom.  This makes it perfect for making cards with decorations that hang down.

You will need the following supplies to make this card:

  • Night of Navy card stock
  • White card stock
  • Mediterranean Blooms designer series paper
    • Two different blue pieces, one with a larger print and one with a smaller print
  • Citrus Blooms stamp set
  • Scissors to cut out images
  • Paper trimmer
  • Night of Navy ink pad
  • Your preferred adhesive

For the card base cut an 8 ½” x 11” piece of Night of Navy card stock to 8 ½” x 5 ½”.  Take one piece and fold it in half to measure 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Then take the top panel and fold it back again so the front panel measures 2 1/8” x 4 ¼” which forms your first Z-fold.  Take the larger print blue designer series paper and cut two strips to 2” x 5 ¼” and adhere these to the two small flaps of your Z-fold card.  Cut a piece of white card stock to 4” x 5 ¼” and adhere that to the back panel of your card.

Then take other half of Night of Navy card stock and cut a piece to 1 ¾” x 8 ½”.  Now take the smaller blue print designer series paper and cut a strip to measure 1 ½” x 8 ¼”.   Adhere the smaller print designer series paper to the center of the Night of Navy card stock.  Now fold this strip in half to measure 1 ¾” x 4 ¼” with the floral side out.  Take the bottom portion and fold the blue print designer series paper to each other to form your other Z-fold going the opposite direction measuring 1 ¾” x 2 1/8”.

Adhere the two Z-folds together by putting adhesive on the outer half of the under side of the long portion of the strip , make sure you don’t get the adhesive to far or your Z-fold will stick together.  Then put glue on the bottom of the strip half fold and adhere that to the bottom part of your card.  You now have your Double Z-fold.

Now it is time to do the decorations for the card.  Take the lemon designer series paper and use your scissors to cut out the large double lemons grouping and then single lemon.  Adhere the single lemon to the back portion of the card hanging off the smaller strip Z-fold.  Take the large grouping and put adhesive on one half that will stick to the front of the card and then also a bit at the top to stick to the strip, but make sure there isn’t any adhesive that is going to hang out the back that will stick your card together.

The last thing to do is to add your greeting.  I used the “wishing you the brightest birthday” stamp, stamped it in Night of Navy ink and stamped it on the white background on the back of the card in the space next to the lemons to make sure it wouldn’t show when the card was closed.

I also made this card in yellow with the oranges out of the same Mediterranean Blooms designer series paper pack which you can see at Citrus Blooms Upside-Down Double Z-Fold Card – Welcome or you can visit my blog at www.daisychaingfun.com to see that post and many other ideas as well.
