Wildflower Birthday Level-Up Card

This Wildflower Birthday set is such a girly and pretty set of paper, I am just obsessed.  It comes with two sheets of cut-out shapes as well, which I didn’t use for this card but have on others.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Wildflower Birthday specialty designer series paper
  • Mixed Labels stamp set and dies
  • Pretty in Pink card stock
  • White card stock
  • Pool Party ink
  • Scoring board or scoring blade for paper trimmer
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop-Dots

With the Pretty in Pink card stock cut a card base of 4 ¼” x 11” and score to 1 ¾”, 3 1/8”, 3 ½”, 7 ½”, 7 7/8” and 9 ¼”.  The center four scores fold up and the two outside pieces fold out.

Grab a piece of White card stock and cut a piece to 3 ¾” x 4”, one to 1 ½” x 4”, 7/8” x 5 ½” and one to 3” x 3 ¾”.  Now grab the Wildflower Birthday specialty designer series paper and cut a piece of the pink and white gingham paper to 3 ½” x 3 ¾” and two strips to 1 ¼” x 3 ¾”.  The find the paper with the cakes and cut a strip of cakes to 1” wide making sure you are lining up to center the cakes and then cut to a length of 3 ½”, but making sure you are getting your cakes close to the top as the bottom area will get covered.  Then with the Pool Party banner piece cut a strip to 5/8” x 5 ¼” which should give you three banner stripes, and then another piece for the back of the card measuring 5/8” x 3 ¾”.

Take a scrap piece of White card stock and your Pool Party ink and stamp the “You’re Pretty Wonderful” and then use the label die to cut it out.

Now it is time to assemble it all together.  Take your Pretty in Pink card base and your 3 ¾” x 4” White cards stock piece and the pink gingham measuring 3 ½” x 3 ¾” and adhere the gingham onto the white.  Then adhere the white to the center of the card base.  Grab the label and adhere with pop dots to the upper center of the card center.  Take your two white strips measuring 1 ½” x 4”, the two pink gingham strips and the two cake strips and adhere the cake strips to the pink gingham and the pink gingham to the white strips and then adhere each of those to the front ends.  Now take the white strip measuring 7/8” x 5 ½” and the Pool Party strip measuring 5/8” x 5 ¼” and adhere to the white strip.  Then adhere that strip to the bottom of each end of the card flaps.

Now take the last piece of white measuring 3” x 3 ¾” and adhere in the center of the back of the card.  Then adhere the Pool Party banner strip toward the bottom of the white piece.  You can add an additional greeting here in Pool Party ink if you choose to.

This adorable card is ready to give to a good friend or sister or whoever else would enjoy receiving this cute card.
