Brushed with Beauty Dogwood Thank You Card

I like this fun fold card using paper from Brushed with Beauty and the Detailed Dogwood and Something Fancy stamp sets all from Stampin’ Up.  The fold is a regular card fold with a reverse Z-fold piece on the inside.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Early Expresso card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Very Vanilla card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Brushed With Beauty designer series paper (November 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Detailed Dogwood stamp set (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Something Fancy stamp set (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Sticted Circle and Scalloped Stiched Circle dies (Unknown)
  • Early Expresso ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

From a piece of Early Expresso card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Then use Very Vanilla card stock to cut a piece to 5 3/8” x 8 ¼” and fold in half and then fold one section in half again (forming a “Z” fold that will go the opposite direction for this card.  From the Brushed with Beauty designer series paper find the brown dogwood paper and also the tan with vanilla ovals paper.  Cut the dogwood paper to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and from the tan with vanilla ovals piece cut two pieces to 1 7/8” x 5 ¼”.

Adhere the dogwood paper to the front of the Early Expresso card base.  Then take the Very Vanilla piece and adhere the large back section to with the inside back of your card with the folded section on the right side.  Adhere the two tan oval paper to each of the folded vanilla sections.

With a stitched circle die measuring about 2 3/8” wide and use it to cut a circle out of the front of your card centered on 3 sides in the upper portion of your card.  The cut another out of Very Vanilla card stock.  Then use a stictched circle die measuring about 2 7/8” and cut out a circle from Early Expresso.  Use a scalloped stitched circle die measuring about 3 ¼” and cut out of Early Expresso and then use the 2 7/8” stitched circle die and cut out the middle.  Adhere the decorative one to the front of your card around the circle cut out of your card.

Take your Very Vanilla circle and stamp in Early Expresso ink the “May the good you do come back to you” greeting to the left side of the circle.  The stamp the smaller dogwood from Detailed Dogwood in Early Expresso to the left side of the circle using the section that fit nicely with the greeting.  I stamped the top flower at the bottom to fill in a bit more.  Close your card and through the circle place adhesive on the right side of the circle and then open the card and align the stamped Vanilla circle through the window and then close onto the adhesive.

For the Very Vanilla inside of your card, stamp the “thank you” greeting in Early Expresso in the upper center.  Stamp the smaller dogwood in the lower right corner.

I love the style of this card, and dogwoods are a favorite as well.  A lovely thank you card to give to anyone.

Brushed With Beauty Dogwood Just Because Card

I was so happy with how this card turned out, it is so plain but cute at the same time.  It was made with the lovely paper from the Brushed with Beauty designer series paper pack from Stampin’ Up and the Words of Beauty and Detailed Dogwood stamp sets.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Darling Duckling card stock (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • Early Expresso card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Brushed With Beauty designer series paper (November 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Words of Beauty stamp set and dies (November 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Detailed Dogwood stamp set (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Early Expresso ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Scoring board or scoring blade for trimmer
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

Take a piece of Darling Duckling card stock and cut a card base to 4 ¼” x 8” and score at 1 ¼”, 2 ½”, 5 ½”, 6 ¾” and fold each side in from the center and the outer pieces out.  Cut another piece to 1 ¼” x 5 ½”.  From the Early Expresso card stock cut six pieces to 1 1/8” x 4 1/8”, two pieces to 2 7/8” x 4 1/8” and one more to 1 1/8” x 2 7/8”.  Use a piece of white card stock and cut to 2 ¾” x 4” for the back of your card and another piece to 1” x 2 ¾”.  From the Brushed With Beauty designer series paper pack find the Darling Duckling floral twig paper and cut six pieces to 1” x 4” and one to 2 ¾” x 4”.

Adhere the Darling Ducking twig piece cut to 2 ¾” x 4” and adhere to one of the Early Expresso pieces and adhere that to the center of your card base.  Take the six pieces of Early Express and adhere the Darling Duckling twig pieces to each.  Adhere two of the to the sections next to the center piece.

Take the other large piece of Early Expresso and adhere the white piece to it and then adhere it to the center back panel of your card.  Find the dogwood twig stamp from the Detailed Dogwood stamp set and stamp the upper portion of it in Early Expresso ink to the lower section of the white on the back panel of your card.  The use the “You’re a great friend” greeting stamp from the Words of Beauty stamp set and stamp that vertically to the left side of your back panel above the dogwood twig you stamped.

Now take two more of your small Darling Duckling twig on Early Expresso pieces and adhere one to each back side panel.  Then take the 1 ¼” x 5 ½” strip of Darling Duckling and adhere one end to the left front panel about ¼” up from the bottom of the card and then the other side to the right-side front panel.  Grab the small white piece you cut and adhere to the Early Expresso piece.  Use the “You’ve been on my mind” greeting stamp and stamp in Early Expresso, then adhere to the front of your stripe.  Now take the last two Darling Duckling twig and Early Expresso pieces and adhere them to the front two panels.

From some scrap Early Expresso cut out the Just and Because base pieces with from the Words of Beauty Dies, and from Darling Duckling scraps cut out the inner Just and Because with the dies.  Adhere each together and adhere to the front left panel of your card.

This makes a beautiful card to send to anyone to let them know you have been thinking of them.    I just smile every time I look at this card so I would assume it would give someone else the same pleasure.

Chalked Detailed Dogwood Sympathy Card

I love dogwood trees, and it is almost time for them to start blooming.  That has inspired me to use the Detailed Dogwood set for this card.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Crumb Cake card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Harvest Meadow designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Detailed Dogwood stamp set (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Mixed Labels stamp set (Stampin’ Up)
  • Tag die
  • Crumb Cake ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Chalk marker (Stampin’ Up)
  • Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots (Stampin’ Up)
  • Twine
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

Take your Crumb Cake card stock cut a card base to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Cut another piece to 3 5/8” x 4 7/8” for the inside and one more piece to 2 7/8” x 3 5/8” for the dogwood front piece.  With white card stock cut a piece to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” for the front of your card, a piece to 3 ¾”x 5” for the inside of your card, a piece to 3” x 3 ¾” for the front dogwood and then a piece to 2 1/8” x 4 ½” for the inside.  From the Harvest Meadow designer series paper find the Crumb Cake colored piece with the branches and buds, cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼”.

Take the 2 7/8” x 3 5/8” piece of Crumb Cake card stock and the Crumb Cake ink and stamp the large dogwood from the Detailed Dogwood stamp set.  On the inside piece of Crumb Cake you cut to 3 5/8” x 4 7/8”” stamp the smaller dogwood to the lower left corner.  For both of your stamped dogwoods use the chalk marker to color in the flowers, it will probably take two layers to make the white really stand out.  Then on the white piece measuring 2 1/8” x 4 ½” stamp the “Just a note to let you know you’re on my mind” greeting from the Mixed Labels stamp set toward the top.  With a spare piece of white card stock, stamp the “with Sympathy” greeting, also from the Mixed Labels stamp set, and use a label die to cut it out.  If there isn’t a string hole on your label die, you will need to punch one.

Adhere to the branches and buds piece of designer series paper and adhere to the white piece, then adhere to your card front.  Take your large colored dogwood piece and adhere to the white.  With your twine, wrap it around the large dogwood piece, string through your tag and then tie into a knot.  Use pop dots to adhere that to the front of your card.  Add a few of the crumb cake colored swirl dots.

For the inside of your card, take the Crumb Cake piece with the smaller dogwood and adhere to the white piece, then adhere your greeting piece to the right side of the dogwood.  Adhere that to the inside of your card.

You have now made a lovely chalked detailed dogwood card to give to someone who has lost a loved one and you would like to let know you are there for them.
