Countryside Inn Foxy Tri-Fold Card

This elegant foxy tri-fold card made with the Countryside Inn designer series paper from Stampin’ Up is just adorable and easy to make.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Night of Navy card stock
  • Balmy Blue card stock
  • White card stock
  • Countryside Inn designer series paper
  • Three stacked Oblong Nested dies
  • Sizzix Forest Friends (not sure on the name) dies
  • Small floral dies
  • Framed Florets stamps
  • Night of Navy ink
  • Embellishments to decorate the center of the flowers
  • Scoring board or scoring blade for paper trimmer
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

With the Night of Navy card stock cut a piece to 3” x 9” and another to 3” x 4 ¼”.  Score the 3” x 9” piece at 4 ¼” and at 8 ½”.  Fold the 9” piece in half and then fold the half inch piece in the opposite direction.  Put adhesive on the ½” piece and adhere the 3” x 4 ¼” piece to make a z-fold.  Find the blue striped piece from the Countryside Inn designer series paper pack.  Cut three pieces to 2 ¾” x 4” and adhere to each panel of the z-folded card base.

With your Night of Navy card stock die cut three of the largest panels which are about 4 ½” long.  In the Countryside Inn designer series paper pack find the paper that has the foxes on it, use the middle size die or next size down to cut three of these.  With White card stock us the next size down cut two.   Cut out one each of the fox and the racoon (which looks like a fox) with Night of Navy card stock and Balmy Blue card stock and adhere the pieces together.  For the racoon version, just take the Balmy Blue tail and cut it with a jagged edge instead of the double stripes for the racoon.  With Night of Navy, Balmy Blue and White card stock scraps cut some flowers for decoration.

With the two white oblong octagons, Night of Navy ink and the “wishes for a beautiful birthday” and stamp that on one toward the top, then with the “for a special person on a special day” stamp that onto the other white one toward the top as well.

Now take all the oblong octagon pieces and adhere the three fox designer series paper to the three Night of Navy pieces.  Add the two white ones to two of the pieces.  Take the back one with the “for a special person on a special day” and put adhesive slightly less than half way up from the bottom and adhere to the back panel.  You want it to measure 5 ½” in total so that it is the proper size for an envelope.  Put adhesive about 1/3 of the way up for the piece that doesn’t have a white panel, line it up face down on the back one and fold the middle panel down so that they line up perfectly.  Now put adhesive on the front panel about 1/3 of the way up and with the card folded, align with the other panels so that when the card is folded it should only show the front panel.

This now gives you the Countryside Inn Foxy tri-fold card with this beautiful fox paper in these elegant blues.

Delightful Wishes Double Gate Fold Card

Send some appreciation to someone with this bright and cheerful double gate fold card.  This Delightful Wishes set is so beautiful and you can’t beat the Floral Delight designer series paper.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Daffodil Delight card stock
  • Lemon Lolly card stock
  • Crumb Cake card stock
  • White card stock
  • Floral Delight designer series paper
  • Delightful Wishes stamp set and dies
  • Memorable Blooms stamp set and dies
  • Limon Lolly ink
  • Daffodil Delight ink
  • Old Olive ink
  • Scoring board or scoring blade for paper trimmer
  • Paper trimmer
  • Bone folder
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop-Dots

With your Lemon Lolly card stock cut your card base to 5 ½” x 11” and score at 1 ¼”, 3 3/8”, 7 5/8” and 9 ¾” and fold up from the center and then out on the ends.  Take a piece of White card stock and cut that to 3 ½” x 8 ¼” and score at 1 1/8”, 2 5/8”, 5 5/8” and 7 1/8” and fold the same with coming up from the center and out on the ends.  Use a bone folder on all your fold edges to make sure they are folding flat.  Then take your Daffodil Delight and cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼” and two strips at 1” x 5 ¼”.  With your floral delight designer series paper find the Forsythia paper and cut a piece to 3 ¾” x 5”.

Now take your Delight Wishes stamp set and dies and the Crumb Cake card stock and cut two sticks with the stick die.  Get your Old Olive ink, White card stock and the double leave stamp and stamp and die cut out 5 of them.  Take more White card stock, your Lemon Lolly ink and the solid Forsythia back group stamp and stamp three of these.  Then change the stamp to the Forsythia detail stamp and with your Daffodil Delight ink and light up the stamp and stamp on the detail over the background stamped items that you stamped in Lemon Lolly.  Use the Forsythia die and cut out the three sets of flowers.  Arrange and adhere one set to each and two leaves to each of the sticks.  Find your White scored piece of card stock for your inside and with your Memorable Blooms stamp set stamp “I appreciate your thoughtfulness” on the inside as a greeting and then decorate with the remaining set of Forsythia flowers and one last leaf.  Take a spare piece of White card stock and your Old Olive ink and stamp “Thanks so much” from the same Memorable Blooms set and use the small label die from that set to cut it out.

Now it is time to put all the pieces together.  Start with your Lemon Lolly card base and adhere the Daffodil Delight 4” x 5 1/4 “ piece to the center and then adhere the Forsythia designer series paper centered on the Daffodil Delight piece.  Then take the scored white piece and adhere one side centered to the top fold on each side of your Lemon Lolly card base which leave it floating up about ¾” from the back of the card.  Find your two 1” x 5 ¼” strips of Daffodil Delight and adhere that over the white and the other flaps on each side.  Then take you Forsythia sticks and adhere to each side, making sure they are not hanging over in the middle so that the card can close.  Adhere the “Thanks so much” label to the lower right flap.

There is the Double Gate Fold card.  You may want to incorporate a ribbon in to tie at the front to help keep it closed, but I think it being open is the appeal of this card.

Wildflower Tower Flap Card

This fun and easy card is so cute and I enjoyed making it so much.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Basic Grey card stock
  • White card stock
  • Heart and Home designer series paper
  • Nature’s Harvest stamp set and dies
  • Tim Holtz Wildflower Dies (you could also use the dies from Nature’s Harvest dies)
  • Basic Grey ink
  • Grey twine
  • Scoring board or scoring blade for paper trimmer
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop-Dots

With your Basic Grey card stock cut a card base to 4 ¼” x 5 ½” and score in half at 2 1/8”.  Cut six (6) planks out of your Basic Grey card stock with three (3) measuring 1” x 4 ¼”, one (1) measuring 1 3/8” x 4 ¼” and two (2) to 5/8” x 4 ¼”.   With your White card stock cut two pieces to 2” x 5 3/8” for the back of your card.

Cut out six flowers\leaves for your card out of the basic grey, the have to fit two on each half without going over so you need to pick accordingly.  I chose the three daisys, one for each side and one for the back and then two different sprigs (one of one and two of the other) that were skinner to help them fit.

With your Heart and Home designer series paper pack choose one of the pieces that has the white wood, I used the one that looked like one solid piece so I didn’t have division lines.  Cut three (3) to ¾” x 4”, one (1) to 1 ¼” x 4” and two (2) to ½” x 4”.

Take your Nature’s Harvest stamp set and your Basic Grey ink with a scrap piece of White card stock and stamp the “Sending healing thoughts may nature’s beauty bring peace to your soul”  Use the long label die from the Nature’s Harvest dies to cut out your words.

Now you just need to assemble it all.  With your white wood planks, adhere them to the appropriate Basic Grey planks.  Fold your scored card base in half.  Starting from the bottom of your card base adhere a 1” plank to the left half of the card base.  Adhere the next plank measuring 5/8” to the right side with a very small space left between so they don’t rub with they swing.  Then another 1” piece to the left, 1 ½” piece to the right, 5/8” piece to the left and the last 1” piece to the top.

Fold up so you can see where the center is.  Trim the bottom one of the sprigs so it just will hang over to the top of the bottom plank and adhere to the top, third and fifth plank, and the same with one of the daisy’s making sure it isn’t overlapping the center, or it will bend.  Do the same on the right side adhere to the second, fourth and to the very top of the sixth plank.  Adhere your saying to the middle of the bottom plank.  Tye a bow with some grey twine and adhere to the second plank flower stem.

Take the two pieces of White card stock and the leftover flower and spring for the back of the card.  Adhere one of the white pieces to one side of the back and then the other on the other side.  Adhere your sprig and flower to the left side, leaving the right side for a message and signing your card.

Queen Bee Pop-Up Frame Card

I just love the Queen Bee stamp set from Stampin’ Up and I just had to have it, but and this is the first time I have actually used it so was really excited to make this card.  With this pop-up frame fun fold card it was perfect and I love the way this card stands up when open and is decorated on both sides.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • More Mustard card stock
  • Cinnamon Cider card stock
  • Old Olive card stock
  • Natural Beige card stock
  • Queen Bee stamp set and dies
  • Honeycomb die (if you don’t have one you could also do something with a honeycomb embossing folder)
  • Party Dots Stampin’ Up embellishments
  • More Mustard ink
  • Cinnamon Cider ink
  • Old Olive ink
  • Light Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends
  • Scoring board of paper trimmer with scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Mini Pop-Dots

Take your More Mustard card stock and cut in half the long way to 4 ¼” x 11”.  Score at 1 ½” and at 5 ½” and fold both inward.  Then cut a piece of More Mustard to 4 /4” x 5” and score at ½” and 4 ½”, then fold both sides up.  Now take the Cinnamon Cider card stock and cut two pieces to 3 ¾” x 4” and cut another piece to 1 ¼” x 4”.  Take the Natural Beige card stock and cut a piece to 3 ¾” x 4”.

Take your two pieces of Cinnamon Cider that you cut to 3 ¾” x 4” and your honeycomb die and cut out a corner of each.  Take some spare of the Natural Beige card stock and the More Mustard ink, stamp the one of large queen bee stamp and the small bees and use the dies to cut each of them out.  Also take the piece of Natural Beige card stock you cut to 3 ¾” x 4” and in the upper right corner with the piece going the long way and stamp one of the small bees.  Take a spare piece of Natural Beige card stock and stamp “happy birthday” stacked in Cinnamon Cider and then use the label die to cut that out.  Take the floral spray stamp and stamp that in Old Olive and then cut out with the die.  Now take the Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends pen and color the flowers.

Take your Old Olive card stock and cut one of the large curved leaves and six of the small leaves.  Use a spare piece of the More Mustard card stock and cut out three large flowers and three small flowers.  With your Party Dots embellishments, use three of the small yellow for centers on your small flowers and three of the large for centers of the larger flowers.

Now you have everything you need to assembly your card.  Grab your 4 ¼” x 11” scored piece of More Mustard and let’s get it decorated.  Take one of the Cinnamon Cider pieces with the honeycomb cut-out and adhere it to the front 4” x 4 ¼” section with the honeycomb cut-out in the upper left corner.  Put a mini pop dot on the back of the small bee cut-out and adhere it in the upper right corner.  Adhere the large curved leaves in the lower right corner along with one of the smaller leaves toward the middle.  Put the “happy birthday” label over it and decorate with one large and one small flower.

In the 1 ½” x 4 ¼” section of your card front, adhere the 1 ¼ x 4” piece centered.  Take three of the small die cut leaves and the floral spray and arrange and adhere center in this section, not going outside of the 1 ½” x 4 ¼” section.

Now take the 4 ¼” x 5” scored piece of the More Mustard card stock and adhere the second Cinnamon Cider honeycomb piece with the scored flaps folded down with the honeycomb in the lower right corner.  Take one of the last two smaller leaves a adhere that and one small and one large flower in the upper right corner.  Then take the last leaf die cut and one large flower and adhere in the lower left corner.  Adhere the Queen Bee die cut image in the center area.  Put glue on the upper flap and stick to the bottom of the 1 ½” x 4 ¼” piece to start to for your square frame.  Then lay flat and put adhesive on the lower flap and fold the card shut to adhere in the correct place.  Now take your little bee stamped piece of Natural Beige and adhere to the inside of your card.  Adhere your last small flower in the lower left corner.

Now you have a beautiful birthday card to send to someone you care about.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Lemon Lolly card stock
  • White card stock
  • Floral Delight designer series paper
    • Large floral piece (both sides)
    • Dainty little flower piece
  • Spring Corners stamp set
  • Three rectangle nesting dies – I used the Stampin’ Up Rectangle Stitched dies
  • Old Olive ink
  • Lemon Lolly ink
  • Old Olive Stampin’ Write marker
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scoring board or scoring blade for your paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop-Dots

With your Lemon Lolly piece of card stock, cut a piece to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half to 5 ½ x 4 ¼”.  Take the white card stock and cut to 5” x 8” and score at 2”, 4” and 6”.  Fold the 2” part down, the 6” part down and the 8” part up.  Take the dainty flower paper from the Floral Delight designer series paper and cut a piece to 4” x 5” and score in half at 2”.  Fold that in half and adhere to the 4” and 6” center sections of your scored white card stock (see photo below).

Take your largest of the tree nested rectangular dies and center it at the front half of your Lemon Lolly base and cut the front panel.  Then use the back of the large floral piece of designer series paper that is Old Olive and cut a rectangle with the middle size die.  Then take some white card stock and cut the smallest size rectangle.  Take the front side of the large floral designer series paper and cut out one of the flowers for the front of your card.

Now grab your Spring Corners stamp set and stamp the “you brighten my day” stamp toward the top of the white rectangle piece and adhere your cut out flower to the bottom of the white piece.  Adhere the white rectangle to the Old Olive rectangle and then the Old Olive rectangle to the Lemon Lolly rectangle.

With your Spring Corners stamp set and the Old Olive ink stamp the “happy we are friends” corners stamp in the upper right corners of the back of your white card stock insert.  Then take the little coneflower stamp and ink it with your Lemon Lolly ink pad and then take your Old Olive Stampin’ Write Market with the large calligraphy end and ink the stems and leaves of the stamp and also the flower centers.  Huff (blow a warm breath onto the stamp to re-moisten then stamp it in the center of your “happy we are friends” on the back of your card insert.

Lets assemble the card.  Take your white insert piece and the card base, and on the inside front cover of your card base put adhesive to the center edge of your cut out and across the top and bottom of your cut out halfway, but make sure that you leave a half inch without adhesive at the top and bottom.  Now adhere the front 2” white section of your cardstock to the back of your cutout on the card base. Now put adhesive on the back of your back white panel, fold it all to the front of the card and then close the back of the card which will align it so it will open to the square it needs to.

All that is left to do is put adhesive on the back left side of your rectangle cutout and adhere that to the dainty floral side with the card closed so you can just put it back in the cut-out, so it is lined up properly.

Then take your pink Flirty Flamingo card stock and cut two pieces to 1 7/8” x 5 ¼” and one piece to 1 ¾” x 5 ¼”.  Now with the white card stock cut two pieces to 1 5/8” x 5” and one piece to 1 ½” x 5”.  Layer each of the two 1 5/8” white pieces onto the 1 7/8” pink pieces and then the one piece of 1 ½” while onto the 1 ¾” pink piece.  The single size piece goes into your middle layer and the two pieces go on the front and back panels.
