Toadstool Gardens Magical Day Card

This lovely mushrooms and words stamps came in the 2025 Advent from Spellbinders so I paired it with some of the Toadstool Gardens designer series paper from Stampin’ Up.  It really turned out cute.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Melon Mambo or Strawberry Slush card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Toadstool Gardens designer series paper (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Mushroom stamp set (2025 Advent Spellbinders)
  • Forever Floral stamps set (Stampin’ Up)
  • Black Staz On ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Melon Mambo or Strawberry Slush ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Wink of Stella (Stampin’ Up)
  • Stampin’ Blends
    • Light Melon Mambo
    • Light Granny Apple Green
    • Dark Pumpkin Pie
    • Light and Dark Gray Granite
    • Dark Daffodil Delight
  • Faux Linen Ribbon (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

With your Melon Mambo or Strawberry Slush card stock (I used Strawberry Slush because I didn’t have any Melon Mambo) cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half.  Cut another piece to 2 7/8” x 3 1/8”.  From white card stock cut two pieces to 4” x 5 ¼”, one to 3” x 3 ¼” and another to 2 ¾” x 3”.  Take your Toadstool Gardens designer series paper pack and find the pink spotted paper, cut a piece to 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”.

With the white piece you cut to 2 ¾” x 3” and stamp your mushrooms in black Staz On ink.  Use your Stampin’ Blends to color as follows:

  • Mushroom stems and under sides – Light Gray Granite
  • Stones – Dark Gray Granite
  • Mushroom tops – Light Melon Mambo or Strawberry Slush
  • Leaves and grass – Light Granny Apple Green
  • Flower petals – Dark Pumpkin Pie
  • Flower centers – Dark Daffodil Delight

Now use the Wink of Stella glitter pen to color over the pink mushroom tops.

Stamp the “hope your day is magical” greeting in black Staz On ink in the upper right portion above your mushrooms.  Adhere your mushroom piece to the 2 7/8” x 3 1/8” piece of Melon Mambo or Strawberry Slush, and adhere that to the 3” x 3 ¼” white piece.

Now take your pink dots designer series paper and adhere to one of the white bases.  Wrap a piece of the Faux Linen Ribbon around it and adhere at the back and then adhere this to the front of your card base.  Then take a small piece of the Faux Linen Ribbon and tie around on the right side and trim.  Now use pop dots to adhere your mushroom piece to the left side over the ribbon.

For the inside of your card adhere your white piece to the inside and then stamp your “You’re on my mind” greeting stamp in Melen Mambo or Strawberry Slush ink, from the Forever Florals stamp set.

A bright cheery card to let someone know you are thinking of them.
