Framed Florets Stepper Card

I was working on cleaning up my craft room and found a few cards that were cut but never put together.  This stepper card base was one of them, so I made this card which I am loving with this Fitting Florets designer series paper from Stampin’ Up.  I used the Framed Florets stamps with it.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Night of Navy card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Balmy Blue card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Fitting Florets designer series paper (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Framed Florets stamp set and dies (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Night of Navy ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Moody Palate Glossy Dots (January 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scoring board or scoring blade for trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

From a piece of Night of Navy card stock cut a piece to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and score at 3 ¼”, 6 ½” and 7 ½” and fold the 3 ¼” to the 3 ¼” and then the 2” end up and then the last 1” down for form your step.  Cut another piece to 3” x 8 ½” and score at 4 ¼” and old in half.  Now take your Balmy Blue card stock and cut a piece to 3 1/8” x 5 3/8”, one to 2 7/8” x 4 1/8” and a third piece to 7/8” x 5 3/8”.  From your white card stock cut a piece to 2 ¾” x 4” and one to 2 7/8” x 5”.  With the Fitting Florets designer series paper find the Night of Navy piece with the Balmy Blue Flowers and cut a piece to 3” x 5 3/8”, one to 1 5/8” x 2 5/8” and a third piece to ¾” x 5 3/8”.

Take your large piece of Balmy Blue and adhere to the front of your back step and then the larger floral piece to that.  Adhere the strip of Balmy Blue to the front of your small step and then the floral strip to that.  Now take your 3” folded piece of Night of Navy and adhere to the front of your small step, centered, and then adhere to the back of your large step.  Adhere the medium piece of Balmy Blue to the front of that.

Take the small piece of white and adhere the small floral piece to the bottom portion of the white leaving a small edge around three sides.  Then stamp the “Wishes for a Beautiful Birthday” greeting from the Framed Florets stamp set in Night of Navy ink in the top portion.   Adhere this to the front of your Balmy Blue.  Add a few Moody Palate Glossy Dots around the white for decoration.

Take your floral die from the Framed Florets and cut out two of the flowers from the designer series paper, or stamp two in Balmy Blue ink and cut them out.  Adhere to the lower left corner of your piece of white for the inside of your card.  Take the “For a special person on a special day” stamp and stamp in Night of Navy ink.  Adhere your white piece to the last piece of Balmy Blue and adhere that to the inside of your card.

What a lovely birthday card for anyone special in your life.

Sophisticated Sled Step Christmas Card

This was one of the Christmas cards I sent out in 2025 and received so many compliments.  This set is so pretty and reminds me of the holidays and being a kid sledding with my friends on the local hill.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Soft Succulent card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Silver card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Crumb Cake card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Real Red card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Light green card stock (? It isn’t Soft Sea Foam so not sure what color it is)
  • White card stock
  • Soft Succulent and Silver designer series paper (Stampin’ Up but I don’t remember from what specific pack)
  • Sophisticated Sled stamp set and dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Embellished Ornaments stamp set (Stampin’ Up)
  • Decorative label die about 1” x 2”
  • Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder (Stampin’ Up)
  • Soft Succulent ink
  • Thin Twine
  • Scoring board or paper trimmer scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

From the Soft Succulent card stock cut a piece to 4 ¼” x 9 ½” and score on the long side at 1 ¼”, 2 ½” and 6”.  This forms the step portion of your card.  Cut another piece to 2 ¾” x 11”, folded in half.

With the light green card stock cut a piece to 3 ¼” x 4”.  Use the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder and adhere to the front panel of the step portion of the soft succulent card base.

With the Soft Succulent and Silver designer series paper cut a piece to 1”x 4” and adhere to the front of the step.  Then cut another piece to 2 ½” x 5 ¼” and adhere that to the front of the 2 ¾” x 11” piece.  Adhere the 2 ¾” x 11” with the front adhered to the front of the step and the back adhered to the back of the card, centered.

Grab some white card stock and your Soft Succulent ink and the “Thinking of You at Christmas” greeting from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set and stamp and then use your label die to cut.  Adhere to the lower right corner of the front of your card.  Cut a piece to 3 ¼” x 4” for the inside of your card and stamp with the Soft Succulent ink and the “With loving wishes for a bright and beautiful season” greeting and adhere to the inside of your card.

That gets your card all done except for building the sled.  With the silver card stock cut the sled rails.  With the Crumb Cake card stock cut the wood base for the sled and the wood rail for the front of the sled.  With your thin twin feed through the two holes of the wood rail for the front of the sled.  Then adhere both of the wood looking pieces to the silver rails.  Cut one of the leafy pieces out of soft succulent card stock and another out of the light green card stock, adhering the light green to the top of the Soft Succulent one, angled a bit so they both show and adhere that to the upper part of the wood base.  With the Real Red card stock cut a bow and adhere that to the front of the leaves.  Adhere the sled to the front upper portion of your card with pop dots to set it off.

That is how you make this lovely card with the Sophisticated Sled set.

Beautiful Gallery Celebrate Birthday Step Card

I love the way this card turned out, a floral step card made with the Beautiful Gallery Suite from Stampin’ Up.  The colors are lovely and it is just so pretty.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Mossy Meadow card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Beautiful Gallery designer series paper (2025 Annual Catalog Stampin’ Up)
  • Beautiful Motifs stamp set (Stampin’ Up)
  • Happy Birthday stamp (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Oval Flat Top nested dies
  • Rectangle Oval Ended Label Layering Dies
  • Pressed Flower Motif embelishments (2025 Annual Catalog Stampin’ Up)
  • Mossy Meadow ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

From your Mossy Meadow card stock cut a card base to 4 ¼” x 11” and score at 2”, 4” and 7 ½” and fold the big section together and the smaller section together to form your step card base.

Grab your Beautiful Gallery designer series paper and find the Mossy Meadow piece with the white roses and the painted looking piece of Mossy Meadow paper.  From the painted piece cut a piece to 3 ¼” x 4” and another to 1 ¾” x 4” and adhere each to the front of your steps.

Now get your Oval Flat End dies and cut the following:

               White Card Stock: 2 3/8” x 3 13/16”

                  2 13/16” x 4 ¼”

                                                                  3 ¾” x 5 ¼”

               Mossy Meadow Card Stock:      2” x 3 7/16”

3 ¼” x 4 13/16”

               Mossy Meadow Floral:             2” x 3 7/16”

                                                                 3 ¼” x 4 13/16”

For the back step, take the 3 ¾” x 5 ¼” white piece and adhere the 3 ¼” x 4 13/16” floral designer series paper piece and adhere to the front of the large step.  Then take the 2 3/8”x 3 13/16” piece of white and the small floral designer series paper piece and adhere together and then adhere to the front of the small step.  Take the 2” x 3 7 1/6” piece of Mossy Meadow and adhere to the back of your small step piece, it just gives is a bit more support for your card to stand well.  Now from Mossy Meadow die cut out a label base and from white card stock cut out the top of your label.  Stamp in Mossy Meadow ink the “Celebrate” from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set.  Adhere to the lower portion of your front step with pop dots.  Use the Pressed Flower Motif embellishments to decorate each end of your label.

Then take the Mossy Meadow piece that is left and the white piece and adhere to the white to the Mossy Meadow.  With your Mossy Meadow ink and a “happy Birthday” greeting stamp and stamp in the upper portion of the white.  Adhere to the back of your card.

This gives you a beautiful birthday card for one of your girlfriends of family members.

Lovely Garden Step Card

Lovely Garden Step Card

I made this card up in my mind this morning with this fun step card design using the Lovely Garden designer series paper.  I had to cut three before I figured out the measurements, but I got there in the end and was really happy with it.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Fresh Fresia card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Boho Blue card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Lovely Garden designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Happy Birthday Label dies (Spellbinders Advent Calendar 2024)
  • Scoring board or paper trimmer scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scissor
  • Adhesive of choice

The base takes a bit of measuring, cutting and scoring, but once you are done with that it is really easy to put together.  Take your Fresh Fresia and cut a card base of 5 ½” x 7 ¾”.  Now the tricky part, score on the long edge at 3” all the way across and then at 5 7/8 going in only about 1 ¼” and then at 6 ¾” only going in 1 ¼”.  Then the same at the last 1 ¼” at those 5 7/8” and 6 ¾”.  Now with your paper cutter cut 1 ¼” in from the center score and stopping at the 1” score.  Do the same on the other side.  Then with your center panel cut ½” down from the center score toward the scored steps so the rest of your center panel is free.  Now fold the bottom 1” down to the front, fold the next one down to create your step.  Fold your card into the final shape, so your step is folded in and the center panel is now up above your base card.  Lift the center panel and put glue on the ½” section in the center and fold your center panel down onto it.

With your Boho Blue card stock cut the following:

  • Two pieces to 1 1/8” x 2 ¾” for the sides
  • One piece to 7/8” x 5 3/8” for the bottom step
  • One to 2 7/8” x 4 1/8” for the center panel
  • One to 2 7/8” x 5 3/8” for the inside

With the white card stock cut a piece to 2 ¾” x 5 ¼”.

From your Lovely Garden designer series paper pack find the Fresh Fresia piece with the little flowers on it and the blue piece with the medium size purple flowers.  With the Fresh Fresia with the little flowers, cut two pieces to 1” x 2 5/8” and one to ¾” x 5 ¼” (make sure you are paying attention to the direction of the design).  From the medium blue floral paper cut a piece for your center panel to 2 ¾” x 4”.

Adhere the Fresh Fresia designer series paper measuring  ¾” x 5 1/4” to the Boho Blue strip measuring 7/8” x 5 3/8” and adhere that to the front of the step.  Take the two pieces of Boho Blue measuring 1 1/8” x 2 ¾” and adhere the two purple pieces measuring  1” x 2 5/8” to the blue and then adhere on of each to each side of the card.

Take the medium floral piece cut for the center panel and the blue piece cut for here and adhere the floral piece to the blue and then to the center panel.

Now adhere the white card stock piece and the Boho Blue piece cut for the inside and then adhere the inside of your card.   Take a scrap section of the blue with medium purple flowers and cut out two flowers and two leaves for each side of the front of the step for decoration and one full flower with a leaf and one of the buds for the inside.  Adhere each for decoration.  With a scrap piece of the Fresh Fresia card stock and your happy birthday die and matching label die and cut your happy birthday label and adhere to the front.

That creates this lovely floral step happy birthday card.
