Peaceful Garden Bi-Fold Sympathy Card

This Peaceful Garden designer series paper from Stampin’ Up is just so stunning and this hydrangea paper is my favorite.  I used it to make this lovely sympathy card with the paper and the Peace On Earth stamps and dies.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Secret Sea card stock (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • Cloud Cover card stock (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Peaceful Garden designer series paper (September 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Peace on Earth stamp set and dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Secret Sea ink (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

From a piece of Secret Sea card stock cut your card base to 4 ¼” x 8 ¼” and score at 5 ½” and fold.  Cut the second piece to 3” x 8” and fold in half.  From your white card stock cut an inside piece to 2 ¾” x 3 ¾”.  Grab your Peaceful Garden designer series paper and find the hydrangea piece and also the cloud cover piece.  From the hydrangea paper cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼” and another to 2 ½” x 4”.  From the cloud cover paper cut a piece to 2 ¾” x 3 ¾”.

With your 4 ¼” x 8 ¼” folded to 5 ½” piece, adhere to eh 4” x 5 ¼” hydrangea piece to the back panel and the 2 ½” x 4” piece to the shorter front panel.  Now take the other Secret Sea piece that measures 3” x 4” folded and put adhesive on the back and adhere the back flap to the center of the back panel of the card base, the top flap will then go over the short front flap.

Adhere the piece of cloud cover paper to the front of the flap.  From a scrap piece of Secret Sea cut one of the large labels with the larger die in the Peace on Earth dies and use the smaller die to cut a label from some scrap white.  From Cloud Cover card stock and the leafy die, cut two.

With the “Sending” and “Heartfelt Prayers” greeting stamps from the Peace on Earth stamp set stamp as one greeting on the small white label in Secret Sea ink, stamping slightly to the right so you have room for your leaf pieces.  Adhere the white label to the Secret Sea label and adhere your two leaf pieces overlapping to the left side of your label.  Adhere to the front of your cloud cover paper on the smaller flap.

On your white piece of card stock stamp the “With Deepest Sympathy” greetings in Secret Sea ink and adhere to piece to the inside of your smaller flap.

This is just a beautiful sympathy card that will hopefully warm a little piece of someone’s heart in a time of need.

True Blue Floral Hinge Sympathy Card

I finally made a hinge style card, I have had a sample in my craft room as an example for a while and saw it the other day and decided to make one.  This is made with the True Blue Floral designer series paper from Stampin’ Up and using the Peace on Earth and Petals of Beauty stamps and dies.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Night of Navy card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • True Blue Floral designer series paper (December 2025 Product of the Month Stampin’ Up)
  • Peace on Earth stamps and dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Petals of Beauty dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Night of Navy ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scoring board or blade from trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

From your Night of Navy card stock cut a card base to 4 ¼” x 11” and score at 2 1/8”, 4 ¼” and 5 ½”.  Fold the card in half and then fold the middle score up and the last score down.  Then cut another piece to 4 ¼” x 4 ¼”.  With some white card stock cut two pieces to 4 1/8” x 4 1/8” and another to 1 1/8” x 4 1/8”.  From the True Blue Floral designer series paper pack, find the large Balmy Blue floral piece and the Balmy Blue piece with the white and navy leaves.  Cut the large floral piece to 4” x 4” and then cut two pieces of the leaf paper to 1” x 4”.

From a scrap piece of the large floral paper cut out one of the larger flowers and three of the smaller flowers and the one set of leaves.  Then from white card stock use the large open leaf die from the Petals of Beauty dies and cut out one of the leaves.  The use a smaller die (I used an old Stampin’ Up dies, not sure the name of the set) to cut out three from Night of Navy.

Then with the two label dies from the Peace on Earth die set, cut the smaller one from white card stock and the larger one from Night of Navy card stock.  On the white label you just cut, stamp the “with deepest sympathy” greeting  to the right side in Night of Navy ink.

Now let’s start of assemble it all.  Take your card base and adhere the 1 ½” section to the back of your card base.  Then adhere the white piece measuring 1 1/8” x 4 1/8” to the front of your adhered section to the left, and then the 1” x 4” piece of leaf paper to the white.  Then take the Night of Navy piece measuring 4 ¼” x 4 ¼” and adhere the white piece measuring 4 1/8” x 4 1/8” to that and then the large floral 4” x 4” piece to that.  Now adhere the right side of that to the right side of your card front, creating your card front and forming the “hinge” as shown below.

To decorate your card front start with cutting your white leaf in half and adhering the top half in the upper left corner of the 4 ¼” square part of your card front.  Add on two of the Night of Navy pieces and then the Balmy Blue leaves you cut out.  Now adhere your white label to the Night of Navy label and adhere that over your decorative leaves with pop dots.  Now adhere three of your cut out flowers and the third Night of Navy leaf piece to the left side of your label.

For the inside adhere the 4 1/8” x 4 1/8” of white to the inside of your card and then the Balmy Blue leaf piece to the right side of that, leaving a small white boarder on three sides.  Adhere the fourth flower your cut out to the lower left corner.  Stamp the “heartfelt prayers” greeting in Night of Navy ink in the upper center of the white portion of the inside of your card.

You have made a lovely card to share your sympathy with someone who has had a loss.

This Peaceful Garden designer series paper from Stampin’ Up makes the most beautiful sympathy cards, and this one is no exception.  It is fairly plain and straight forward to make but it is the simplicity that makes it so pretty.

  • Peace on Earth stamp set and dies (September 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Secret Sea ink (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer

Take one of your white pieces and adhere to one of the Secret Sea pieces and then adhere that to the front of your card base.  Now adhere the large leaf paper onto the white piece on the front of your card toward the top, and then the Cloud Cover strip to the bottom.

With your Secret Sea ink and the “With Deepest Sympathy” greeting from the Peace on Earth stamp set, stamp your greeting on the Cloud Cover strip to the right side.  From a scrap piece of white card stock use the dove die with both wings up to cut out your dove and adhere to the left side of your Cloud Cover strip.

For the inside adhere the white piece of card stock to the Secret Sea piece and adhere that to the inside of your card.  Adhere the leaf strip toward the bottom of the white piece, leaving about ¼” of the white showing.  With the “Sending” and “Heartfelt Prayers” stamps from the Peace on Earth stamp set, arrange them together on your stamp block and stamp on the upper portion of the inside of your card in Secret Sea ink.

This gives you a lovely sympathy card for when you need to tell someone how sorry you are for their loss.

Peaceful Garden Dove Heartfelt Prayer Sympathy Card

The Peaceful Garden set from Stampin’ Up is so pretty and the colors are perfect for making sympathy cards and holiday cards, but also just general cards for any occasion.  The silver edged ribbon is also a great addition.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Misty Moonlight card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Peaceful Garden designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Peace on Earth stamp set and dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Silver Edged Ribbon
  • Misty Moonlight ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Rectangle or slot punch
  • Adhesive of choice

I made this card 5” x 7” card specifically for my office to send to the wife of someone who just passed away that used to work for us so there would be a lot of space for signatures.  To start this card, take your Misty Moonlight and cut a card base to 7” x 10” and fold in half for the 5” x 7” card base.  With your white card stock cut three  pieces (or two if you don’t need all the signing space) to 4 5/8” x 6 5/8”.  From the Peaceful Garden designer series paper find the medium blue piece with the white doves, cut a piece of that to 4 ½” to 6 ½”.

Take a spare piece of white card stock, your Misty Moonlight ink and the “Sending” and “Heartfelt Prayers” stamps from the Peach on Earth stamp set and stamp.  I trimmed a bit off the bottom of my “sending” stamp so that I could butt it up to the Heartfelt Prayers and others to make it line up so I can stamp it all together.  Use the small label die from the Peace on Earth dies to cut that out, and then the large die to cut out a piece of Misty Moonlight.  Adhere to white label to the Misty Moonlight label.  Use a rectangle punch or slot punch to make a slot in both ends of the labels.  Take your Silver Edged Ribbon that came in the suite and fit through one slot and back out the other.  From a spare piece of white card stock die cut out a dove (one with both wings up) and then from Secret Sea cut out one of the leaf branches.

Adhere one of your white pieces to the front of your card base.  Take the dove paper you cut and adhere your label to the front of the paper, then wrap the ribbon around and adhere to the back.  Now adhere the dove paper to the front of your card.  Adhere to Secret Sea leaf branch to the right side of your label and then use a few pop dots to adhere your dover over the leaf branch and around your words.

For the inside adhere one (or two if you need the signing space like I did) to the inside of your card.  From the Peace on Earth stamp set find the “with deepest Sympathy” and stamp on the inside with your Misty Moonlight ink.

That gives you a really nice sympathy card to give when needed and with enough signature space for multiples if required.

Tent Fold Stepper Peaceful Garden Card

I have seen a few of these online as ideas, but this one came from my Stampin’ Up upline in one of her Thursday night Facebook lives at My Stamping Style.  It was a really cute design that I hadn’t seen before, but I have now saw a few times since.  It folds into a normal 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card but forms a stand for a 4” x 4 ¼” card with a front step.    I used the Peaceful Gardens to make this charming card.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Secret Sea card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Cloud Cover card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Peaceful Garden designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Secret Sea ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Hues of Blue flower embellishments (Stampin’ Up)
  • Scoring board or paper trimmer scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

With your Secret Sea card stock a piece to 4 ¼” x 11” and score at 4”, 8”, 9” and 10”.  From the 4” end, fold the 4” to the 8” score, fold the 9” score up and then the 10” score down.  With your Cloud Cover card stock, cut two pieces to 3 7/8” x 4 1/8” and a piece to 7/8” x 3 7/8”.  From the Peaceful Garden designers series paper, find the white hydrangea paper and cut a piece to 3 ¾” x 4”.  Then find the Cloud Cover paper and cut a piece to ¾” x 3 ¾”.

Adhere one of the pieces of Cloud Cover to the front of the 4” x 4 ¼” fold up piece and then adhere the white hydrangea designer series paper.  Adhere the 7/8” x 4 1/8” piece of Coud Cover to the front of the step and then the Cloud Cover designer series paper piece to the front of that.

Take a spare piece of Cloud Cover card stock and the small label from the Peace on Earth dies and cut a label, and then with the larger label die cut one from Secret Sea, adhere together.  From white card stock die cut the dove with wings up.  With the Peace on Earth stamp set and your Secret Sea ink stamp the “Sending” and “Heartfelt Prayers” together on your label.  Adhere the dove to the upper left of your label and add one large and two small flower embellishments from the Hues of Blue flower embellishments.  Adhere the label to the front of you step about ½’ up from the bottom of your step.

With the second piece of Cloud Cover you cut, your Secret Sea ink and the “with deepest sympathy” greeting from the Peace on Earth stamp set.  Adhere to the inside of your card.

That makes your Peaceful Garden Tent Fold Stepper card.

Memorable Blooms Split Floral Sympathy Card

This is a nice sympathy card  with just some great light colors and a simple design.  I love the slight pop of Petal Pink but with the muted gray tones.  These flowers from Memorable Blooms worked perfectly.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Petal Pink card stock (Stampin’ Up)

With a spare piece of white card stock, find the large floral design stamp in the Memorable Blooms stamp set and with your Basic Gray ink your stamp, stamp off lightly and then stamp the floral design onto your white card stock.  Use your Stampin’ Blends to color in the design, with Light Petal Pink for the flowers, you can highlight with the Dark Petal Pink, then the large leaves with the Light Basic Gray and the smaller leaves with the Light Mint Macaroon.  Find the die in the Memorable Blooms dies and cut out your large floral for the front.

On the white piece you cut to 3 ¾” x 5” for the inside and stamp the two flowers stamp in the lower left corner and color that in the same colors.  With the “Just a note to let you know you are on my mind” from the Mixed Labels stamp set stamp that toward the upper part in Basic Gray ink also stamped off first.  Adhere this piece to the inside of your card.

For the front of your card, start with adhering the large white piece and then the large piece in Basic Gray decorative piece.  Now lets work on the center, take your Basic Gray small chevron and Petal Pink speckled pieces.  Align them on your piece of white paper as a guide with the Basic Gray chevron overlapping the speckled Petal Pink piece.  Lay your cut out flower piece toward the middle and find the angle starting with your small flower at the top covering where the gray chevon piece and then angle the stem down until it aligns with the end of the paper.  Push down slightly and mark the angle with a pen or pencil and then cut that angle off the top of the gray chevron paper.  Adhere your speckled petal pink piece to the top portion of the white piece.  Then adhere your Basic Gray chevron piece on the bottom portion.  Then adhere your flowers lighted up to cover where to paper meet.  Wrap a piece of peach of white ribbon around and tie.  With the Mixed Label stamp set find the small “With sympathy” and stamp on a spare piece of white card stock.  You the medium size label die from the same set to cut out.  Use pop dots to adhere over your ribbon and slightly off of your Basic Gray chevron paper.

Chalked Detailed Dogwood Sympathy Card

I love dogwood trees, and it is almost time for them to start blooming.  That has inspired me to use the Detailed Dogwood set for this card.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Crumb Cake card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Harvest Meadow designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Detailed Dogwood stamp set (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Mixed Labels stamp set (Stampin’ Up)
  • Tag die
  • Crumb Cake ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Chalk marker (Stampin’ Up)
  • Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots (Stampin’ Up)
  • Twine
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

Take your Crumb Cake card stock cut a card base to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Cut another piece to 3 5/8” x 4 7/8” for the inside and one more piece to 2 7/8” x 3 5/8” for the dogwood front piece.  With white card stock cut a piece to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” for the front of your card, a piece to 3 ¾”x 5” for the inside of your card, a piece to 3” x 3 ¾” for the front dogwood and then a piece to 2 1/8” x 4 ½” for the inside.  From the Harvest Meadow designer series paper find the Crumb Cake colored piece with the branches and buds, cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼”.

Take the 2 7/8” x 3 5/8” piece of Crumb Cake card stock and the Crumb Cake ink and stamp the large dogwood from the Detailed Dogwood stamp set.  On the inside piece of Crumb Cake you cut to 3 5/8” x 4 7/8”” stamp the smaller dogwood to the lower left corner.  For both of your stamped dogwoods use the chalk marker to color in the flowers, it will probably take two layers to make the white really stand out.  Then on the white piece measuring 2 1/8” x 4 ½” stamp the “Just a note to let you know you’re on my mind” greeting from the Mixed Labels stamp set toward the top.  With a spare piece of white card stock, stamp the “with Sympathy” greeting, also from the Mixed Labels stamp set, and use a label die to cut it out.  If there isn’t a string hole on your label die, you will need to punch one.

Adhere to the branches and buds piece of designer series paper and adhere to the white piece, then adhere to your card front.  Take your large colored dogwood piece and adhere to the white.  With your twine, wrap it around the large dogwood piece, string through your tag and then tie into a knot.  Use pop dots to adhere that to the front of your card.  Add a few of the crumb cake colored swirl dots.

For the inside of your card, take the Crumb Cake piece with the smaller dogwood and adhere to the white piece, then adhere your greeting piece to the right side of the dogwood.  Adhere that to the inside of your card.

You have now made a lovely chalked detailed dogwood card to give to someone who has lost a loved one and you would like to let know you are there for them.
