Violet Dreams 2-4-6-8 Birthday Card

This card is made with Violet Dreams designer series paper and the Framed Violets stamps and dies, all from Stampin’ Up.  It is called a 2-4-6-8 Card and has two decorated layers to open.  The design came from my Stampin’ Up up-line and you can watch the video from August 6 on her Facebook page My Stampin’ Style or on her Youtube site. 

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Fresh Freesia card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Violet Dreams designer series paper (July 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Framed Violets stamp set and dies (July 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Stitched Scalloped Oval die (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Fresh Freesia Ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

With a piece of Fresh Freesia card stock cut a card base to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  The from the Violet Dreams designer series paper pack find the Cloud Cover with the violets paper and cut a piece to 5 ¼” x 12, scoring at 2”, 4”, 6” and 8”.  From the 2” side, fold the first piece down, then up, down and up again for form you folds.  I adhered mine together to form two flaps as I like it better, but you can also leave them to open the full piece as long as the back of your paper matches the colors of your card.  Adhere the back of the large panel to your Fresh Freesia card base. 

Now using the scalloped oval die from Framed Violets cut one out of Fresh Freesia card stock and one of the oval out of white card stock.  Then using a stitched scalloped oval die cut two for the flaps.  From the Violet Dreams designer series paper find the piece that has the violet cut-outs and grab three of the purple full flowers and three of the buds or smaller flowers and two leaves.

From the Framed Violets stamp set, use the Fresh Freesia ink to stamp the “happy birthday to you” greeting on the left side of one of the small ovals and adhere a leaf and three of your cut-outs.  On the second oval stamp the “sending love” greeting to the left side and adhere the other three flowers and leaf. 

Adhere your large white oval to the Fresh Freesia scalloped oval and adhere to the back panel of your card.  Adhere the Sending Love oval to the middle panel covering the bottom of your large white oval on the back panel.  Then do the same with the “Happy birthday to you” oval on the front panel covering the upper portion of your large white oval. 

A nice quick and easy card that will work with most designer series papers.

Violet Dreams Happy Birthday Card

This lovely Violet Dreams designer series paper with the dark background and purple colors makes a beautiful card combination and the touch of purple made it pop. 

  • Gorgeous Grape card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Peaceful Pine card stock (2026-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Violet Dreams designer series paper (July 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Framed Violets stamp set and dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Secret Sea ink (2025-2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Label die
  • Birthday greeting stamp
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

From a piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock cut a piece to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Then cut a second to 4 ¼” x 10 ½” and score at 1 ¾”, 3 ½” 7” and 8 ¾”.  Fold from each side to the center and the out.  From your Violet Dreams designer series paper find the Secret Sea polka dot paper and the Secret Sea with violets paper.  From the Secret Sea polka dots cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼”.  From the Secret Sea violet paper cut four pieces to 1 ½” x 4”.  Then with white card stock cut a piece for the inside of your card to 3 ¼” x 4”.

Take the Secret Sea polka dot piece and adhere to the 4 ¼” x 5 ½” Gorgeous Grape card base.  Then take your scored Gorgeous Grape piece and adhere two of the violet pieces to the front panels and two to the inside left and right side of the middle and then the white piece goes in the center.  Adhere the back of the scored Gorgeous Grape piece to the center of your card base. 

Cut out a label from your white card stock, and then stamp the “happy birthday to you” greeting from the Framed Violets stamp set in Secret Sea ink.  Cut out one of the double violet dies in Gorgeous Grape card stock and two of the smaller leaves from Peaceful Pine card stock.  Adhere one of the flowers and leaves to the left side of your white label and adhere the left side of the label to the front lower center of your card. 

For the inside adhere the other violet and leave in the lower left corner of the white inside and then stamp the “I can’t think of a nicer person to celebrate” greeting in Secret Sea ink in the upper center.

A quick and easy card that would wow anyone for their birthday.

Violet Dreams Double Flap Birthday Card

This double flap card made with the Violet Dreams designer series paper from Stampin’ Up and the Framed Violets stamps and dies.  There are some lovely cut-outs included with this paper pack which I used to decorate this card. 

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Fresh Freesia card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Violet Dreams designer series paper (July 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Framed Violets stamp set and dies (July 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Belated birthday stamp (unknown retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Label die (Sizzix 138282 label die)
  • Fresh Freesia Satin Ribbon (July 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Fresh Freesia ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

From a piece of Fresh Freesia card stock cut a card base to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Cut a second piece to 3 ¾” x 4 ¾” and score at ½” from the left side.  Cut a third piece to 4” x 4” and score at 3 ½” from the left.  Take the Violet Dreams designer series paper pack and find the Fresh Freesia dainty floral paper and then the Fresh Freesia stripes paper.  With the striped paper cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼” and another to 3 ¼” x 3 ¾”.  Cut the Fresh Freesia dainty floral paper to 3 ¼” x 4 ½”.  Cut a piece of white card stock to 2 ¾” x 4”. 

Take your card base and the 3 ¾” x 4 ¾” piece of Fresh Freesia card stock and fold at the ½” score and adhere the ½” portion to the left side of your card base, aligning at the bottom of your card.  Then take the 4” x 4” piece of Fresh Freesia and fold at the 3 ½” score and adhere the ½” portion of that to the right side of the card and align at the bottom of the card. 

Adhere the larger stripe piece to the back of your card base, the floral piece to the front of the middle flap and the smaller stripe piece to the front of the smaller flap.  Take the Fresh Freesia larger violet cutout and adhere to your middle panel, hanging slightly over on the right side.  Use a piece of the Fresh Freesia Satin Ribbon and tie around the middle panel and tie in a knot and trim the ends. 

For the front panel cut a label from white card stock and stamp the “happy birthday to you” greeting from the Framed Violets stamp set in Fresh Freesia ink.  Adhere to the front center.  Use three of the Fresh Freesia violet cut-outs and three of the smaller leaf cut-outs and adhere around your label to your liking. 

Take the white piece of card stock you cut and adhere to the lower left side of your card base, making sure it doesn’t show when your middle flap is closed.  I used a “sorry I’m late, hope your birthday was great!” greeting in Fresh Freesia ink.  Take one more of the Fresh Freesia flowers and one of the bud cut-outs and adhere in the lower left corner. 

A pretty card to let someone know you are wishing them a belated birthday.

Violet Dreams Sending Love Double Z-Fold Card

I haven’t made a double Z-fold card in a while but it was perfect for this paper from the Violet Dreams designer series paper from Stampin’ Up.  The stamps and dies from the Framed Violets set added the accents for a lovely card. 

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Gorgeous Grape card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Peaceful Pine card stock (2026-2028 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Violet Dreams designer series paper (July 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Framed Violets stamp set and dies (July 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Label die
  • Peaceful Pine Ink
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

Start by cutting your card base from Gorgeous Grape card stock measuring 5 ½” x 8 ½” and score at 2 1/8” and 4 ¼” and fold into a “Z” shape with the front small flap folded to the left.  Cut a second to 3” x 6 ¾” and score at 2 ¼” and 4 ½” and fold into a “Z” as well with the top flap also folded to the left.  From the Violet Dreams designer series paper pack find the Secret Sea with the polka dots and then the Secret Sea piece with the violets on it.  From the polka dot piece cut two pieces to 1 7/8” x 5 ¼” and one to 4” x 5 ¼”.  From the violet paper cut three pieces to 2” x 2 ¾”. 

Adhere the three polka dot pieces to your large “Z” with one of the thinner pieces on the front panel, one on the middle panel and the large piece to the back panel.  Adhere your three violet pieces to the small “Z”, keeping them in order if they were cut that way.  From a white pieces of card stock cut a piece to 1 ¾” x 2 ½” and adhere over the violet floral piece on the back panel of your small “Z” piece. 

Take your smaller “Z” and adhere the left half of it to your front panel of your larger “Z” and then adhere the back panel of the violet piece to the polka dot back panel (it seems to work best to put your adhesive on the back, fold it to the front and then close the card to ensure it is placed properly). 

From a scrap piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock cut out two of the single violet flowers from the Framed Violets dies and from Peaceful Pine one of the leaves.  On a piece of white scrap paper stamp the “take care” greeting from the Framed Violets stamp set in Peaceful Pine ink and cut out with your label die (I don’t know where this label die is from).  Adhere the label across the front panel of your violet paper angled up.  Adhere the two flowers over the left end along with the leaf. 

On the back panel stamp the “sending love” greeting in Peaceful Pine ink. 

This card turned out beautiful and would make anyone who received it smile knowing you care.
