Floral Z-Fold Lace Cards

These cards are a Z-Fold style card, but the design makes a full-front card.  These cards were made with some floral paper that I don’t know what they are from and then use a border lace punch from Stampin’ Up to decorate the front edge.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

Blue Rose Card

  • Marina Mist card stock (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Very Vanilla card stock (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Floral designer series paper (Unknown)
  • Gallery Blooms stamp set and dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Words of Beauty stamps and dies (November 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Marina Mist ink (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

Rust Butterfly Card

  • Ridinghood Red card stock (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Floral designer series paper (Unknown)
  • Sentimental Park stamp set (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Double Layer Butterfly die (Spellbinders ?)
  • Ridinghood Red ink (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

To make a similar card, since I don’t know where the floral paper came from, cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and score at 1 ½” x 4 ¼”.  Fold in half and then fold the small portion toward you.  From your neutral color (white or vanilla) cut a piece for the inside of your card to 4” x 5 ¼”, a piece for the front to 2 ¾” x 5 ¼” and for the middle inside panel cut a piece to 2 ½” x 5 ¼”.  For the lace piece cut a piece to 2” x 5 ½” and then use the lace punch (or a decorative border die if you have one) to cut the border edge.  Adhere this to the back of the front flap, you may need to trim off a bit to have it line up where you would like for it to show well.

From your floral paper cut a piece for the front to 2 5/8” x 5”, a piece for your inside panel to 2 1/8” x 5” and a piece for the middle panel to 1 1/8” x 5”.  Take your neutral piece measuring 2 ¾” x 5 ¼” piece and the 2 5/8” x 5” floral piece and adhere the floral piece to it and then adhere the left side of the neutral piece to the front flap.  Use the 2 1/8” x 5” floral piece to the 4” x 5 ¼” piece (to either side, use your preference as I did one of each) and then adhere this to the back panel of the inside of your card.  Then adhere the last floral piece to the neutral piece and adhere that to the middle panel on the inside.

Use a decorative stamp and\or die to decorate the front and use a greeting stamp and label to go with it on the front.  Stamp a greeting on the inside back panel of the card if you wish.

This gives you a really nice card design to use for any type of card you prefer.

Brushed With Beauty Floral Book Card

I love the simplicity of this book style card made with the Brushed with Beauty designer series paper from Stampin’ Up and using the Words of Beauty stamp set and dies.  The papers do all the talking with this set.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Calypso Coral card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Very Vanilla card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Brushed with Beauty designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Words of Beauty stamp set and dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Calypso Coral ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Scoring board or scoring blade from trimmer
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

From the Calypso Coral card stock cut a card base to 4 ¼” x 11” and score at 4 ¼” and 5 ½”.  From your Very Vanilla card stock cut two pieces to 4 1/8” x 4 1/8” and another to 1 1/8” x 4 1/8”.

Take your Brushed with Beauty designer series paper pack and find the smaller floral piece and the Calypso Coral painted looking piece.  From the floral piece cut a piece to 4” x 4” and from the pointed Calypso Coral piece cut one to 1” x 4”.

With your card base, fold it in half and then adhere the short section to the back of the card.  Take one of the Very Vanilla square pieces and adhere it to the larger part of the front of your card, and the smaller Very Vanilla piece and adhere it to the smaller section.  Adhere the piece of painted Calypso Coral paper to the Very Vanilla small piece and the floral piece to the larger section.

Take a piece of scrap Very Vanilla paper and from the Words of Beauty stamp set find the “It’s your Birthday!” greeting and stamp in Calypso Coral ink.  Use the larger long label die from the Words of Beauty dies to cut out your greeting and then adhere it to the middle of your larger front floral piece.

Use another birthday greeting for the inside of your card, I used “Someone like you should be celebrated every day”.  Stamp it in Calypso coral in on the piece of Very Vanilla card stock and then adhere that to the inside of your card.

This is a nice card to give to anyone special for their birthday.
