Floral Z-Fold Lace Cards

These cards are a Z-Fold style card, but the design makes a full-front card.  These cards were made with some floral paper that I don’t know what they are from and then use a border lace punch from Stampin’ Up to decorate the front edge.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

Blue Rose Card

  • Marina Mist card stock (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Very Vanilla card stock (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Floral designer series paper (Unknown)
  • Gallery Blooms stamp set and dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Words of Beauty stamps and dies (November 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Marina Mist ink (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

Rust Butterfly Card

  • Ridinghood Red card stock (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Floral designer series paper (Unknown)
  • Sentimental Park stamp set (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Double Layer Butterfly die (Spellbinders ?)
  • Ridinghood Red ink (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

To make a similar card, since I don’t know where the floral paper came from, cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and score at 1 ½” x 4 ¼”.  Fold in half and then fold the small portion toward you.  From your neutral color (white or vanilla) cut a piece for the inside of your card to 4” x 5 ¼”, a piece for the front to 2 ¾” x 5 ¼” and for the middle inside panel cut a piece to 2 ½” x 5 ¼”.  For the lace piece cut a piece to 2” x 5 ½” and then use the lace punch (or a decorative border die if you have one) to cut the border edge.  Adhere this to the back of the front flap, you may need to trim off a bit to have it line up where you would like for it to show well.

From your floral paper cut a piece for the front to 2 5/8” x 5”, a piece for your inside panel to 2 1/8” x 5” and a piece for the middle panel to 1 1/8” x 5”.  Take your neutral piece measuring 2 ¾” x 5 ¼” piece and the 2 5/8” x 5” floral piece and adhere the floral piece to it and then adhere the left side of the neutral piece to the front flap.  Use the 2 1/8” x 5” floral piece to the 4” x 5 ¼” piece (to either side, use your preference as I did one of each) and then adhere this to the back panel of the inside of your card.  Then adhere the last floral piece to the neutral piece and adhere that to the middle panel on the inside.

Use a decorative stamp and\or die to decorate the front and use a greeting stamp and label to go with it on the front.  Stamp a greeting on the inside back panel of the card if you wish.

This gives you a really nice card design to use for any type of card you prefer.

Lovely Blossoms Floral Double Z-Fold Card

I am infatuated with this card made with the Lovely Blossoms designer series paper and the Lovely Arrangements stamps and dies.  This is one of those card where I came up with what I wanted to do in my head and it actually turned out just like I pictured it, which doesn’t usually happen.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Cloud Cover card stock (2025-2027 Incolor Stampin’ Up)
  • Old Olive card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Lovely Blossoms designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Lovely Arrangements stamp set and dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Cloud Cover ink (2025-2027 Incolor Stampin’ Up)
  • Secret Sea Stampin’ Write Marker (2025-2027 Incolor Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scoring Board or scoring blade from trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

From a piece of Cloud Cover card stock cut a card base to 7” x 8 ½” and score at 2 1/8” and 4 ¼” and fold into your “Z” shape.  Cut 1 ½” off the top to make your card base measure 5 ½” x 8 ½” and then you have a matching strip for you double “Z”.  With your white card stock cut a piece to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and two pieces to 2” x 5 3/8”

Take the Lovely Blossoms designer series paper pack and pull out a piece of the Cloud Cover striped paper and a piece of the Cloud Clover with white flowers.  From the striped paper cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼”.  Take the floral piece and cut two pieces to 1 7/8” x 5 ¼”.  Adhere each of these pieces to the white pieces.  Adhere the stripes paper on the white to the back of your card base.  Take one for floral pieces on white and adhere to the front half fold and the other to the inside center section.  Then take the 1 ½” long “Z” fold and adhere the long end to the front of your card and the short end to the back of your card to form your Double “Z” fold.

Grab a piece of white card stock along with your Cloud Cover ink, Secret Sea Stampin’ Write marker and your Lovely Arrangements stamps and dies.  With the full flower stamp, tap your stamp onto your Cloud Cover ink and then take the marker and color the center and stamp on your white card stock.  Clean your stamp and repeat 3 more times.  Then do the same 4 times with the half flower.  Use your dies to cut these all out.  Then with some Old Olive card stock and the single and double leaf dies, cut two of each.

Also stamp the “Thank You” and then the “So very much” underneath it, both in Cloud Cover Ink and use a label die to cut it out.

To start building your flowers across your strip, adhere your label hanging above the strip, then adhere two full flowers and one half and a double leaf and two single leaves.

Then adhere one full and one half to each of the small sections and divide your double leave into two singles and use one on each part.  The thing you may want to pay a little attention to, which I didn’t, is the flowers showing when the card it closed, but I don’t think it is a big deal, just mentioning if it will bother you.

For the inside I used a label I had laying around as it was the perfect size, but I would say you can just cut a piece to 1 7/8” x 3” and adhere to the upper left side.  Then I adhere the last half flower to the bottom which looks like it is in the background of all the flowers on the strip and decorates your label.  This card turned out exactly as I picture I my head when I planned it, which is not usually the case.

Floral Charm Angled Z-Fold Card

This card is a great thank you for anyone, while it has bright colors it is all around leaves, not flowers.  It is made from the Floral Charm designer series paper and the Charming Day stamps and dies all from Stampin’ Up.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Timid Tiger card stock (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • Night of Navy card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Mossy Meadow card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Floral Charm designer series paper (July 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Charming Day stamps and dies
  • Night of Navy ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Scoring board or paper trimmer scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

With your Timid Tiger card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 11” and score at 4 ¼” and 8 ½” then fold into a Z.  For the 2 ½” section from the bottom measure up 2 ½” and cut in to form a 2 ½” square for the front of your card.  With the square folded up to the center base then cut a diagonal from the top of the card to the 2 ½” square piece.

From your Floral Charm designer series paper pack find the Timid Tiger floral piece and cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼” and a second piece to 2 ¼” x 2 ¼”.  Adhere the 4” x 5 ¼” to the back inside of the card.  Adhere the 2 ¼” x 2 ¼” to your front of your card on the 2 ½” x 2 ½”.   Now find the multi-color leaf piece of paper and cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼”.  With white card stock cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼”.  Take the multi-color leaves piece and place it on the front of your card under the 2 ½” piece and move up so that twice of the Timid Tiger edge is showing and flip and draw a line for your angle and cut.  Cut the same angle on your white piece.  Adhere the leaf piece to the front and the white to the inside.

Take a scrap piece of Night of Navy and the large leaf die and cut out three piece.  Then with a piece of Timid Tiger and a piece of Mossy Meadow cut out the two each of the small leaf.  With a piece of white card stock and a label die of choice cut a label and stamp the “thanks for being you” greeting stamp in Night of Navy ink.  Adhere the label and one each of the colored die cut leaves to the front flap.

On your white inside piece adhere one of the Navy leaves to the lower left corner.  With your Night of Navy ink and your “you made my day” greeting stamp it on the upper right portion with your angle area.

Now adhere your remaining three leaf pieces to the lower right corner of your Timid Tiger floral piece.

You now have a great Thank You card for anyone who has done something sweet for you.

Then on the two lower sections, adhere the two Night of Navy pieces.  Adhere the pink piece with your greeting to the center section and then the pink floral piece to the bottom section.  Now take the small label and with pop dots adhere to the front of the rose lower section, making sure it is covered when the top flap is closed.  To finish adhere a few embellishment dots from the Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots to the rose paper on the top flap.

I can’t wait to give this card to one of my friends as it turned out so nice with beautiful colors.

Mixed Floral Z-Fold Pop-Up Card

This is a z-fold card, but with a pop-up twist, so there is a middle layer that pops up when you start to open the card.  I love the colors, I saw someone else use them for a card so I decided to use the colors to make this style card.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Pretty in Pink card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Mixed Floral designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Jet Black Staz-On ink
  • Stampin’ Blends (Stampin’ Up)
    • Pretty in Pink Light
    • Pretty in Pink Dark
    • Mint Macaroon Dark
    • Lemon Lolly Light
    • Lemon Lolly Dark
  • Scoring board or paper trimmer scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

With the Pretty in Pink card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” then score at 2 1/8 and 4 ¼” and fold the card in half and the fold the front quarter forward to form your z-fold.  Cut another piece with the Pretty in Pink to 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”.  With your white card stock cut a piece to 2” x 4 1/8”, one to 4 3/8” x 4 5/8” and a third piece to 2 5/8” x 4 1/8” and lastly one to 2 ½” x 3” scored at ½”, 1 ¼” and 2”.   With the black floral designer series paper from the Mixed Floral designer series paper pack.  Cut a piece to 4 x 5 ¼” and a second to 1 7/8” x 4”.

Take the coneflower stamp from the Mixed Florals set and the Jet Black Staz-On ink and stamp on to a spare piece of white card stock.  Color the leaves with the Mint Macaroon dark Stampin’ Blends, the dainty flowers and large flower centers with the Lemon Lolly light and dark Stampin’ Blends and the large flowers with the light and dark Pretty in Pink Stampin Blends.  With the white piece measuring 2 5/8” x 4 1/8” and stamps from the Mixed Labels stamp set stamp the dainty flower stamp once or twice in the lower left corner and the “I’m so glad we’re friends” greeting in the upper left corner.

Now let’s assemble the card.  Adhere the white piece of card stock measuring 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” to the back of the card, and the black floral piece measuring 4” x 5 ¼” to the white card stock piece.

With the 2 ½” x 3” scored piece, fold into a square.  Put adhesive on the top of the right side of ½” part.  Fold in half with the glue half down, line up with the middle fold so it will lay flat with card closed.  The put adhesive on the upper ½” section and fold card onto it again making sure it all lays flat.  Take the Pretty in Pink piece and adhere your stamped white piece to it.  Put adhesive on the top of your box piece and adhere this greeting piece to it centered.

Take the last white piece and adhere the black floral piece to that and adhere to the front of the card.  Glue your large colored flowers to the front with it partially hanging of toward the center and making sure your greeting is covered.

That gives you the pop-up z-fold card in these lovely pops of pink with the black background.

Mixed Floral Angled Z-Fold Card

It has taken me a long time to come up with a card design I am happy with for this stamp set, but I am really happy with what I finally came up with.  And of course a Z-fold card is where I landed, but the angled Z-fold, which I haven’t made of like this for a while.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Daffodil Delight card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Soft Sea Foam (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Delightful Wishes designer series paper
  • Mixed Floral stamp set and dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Magnolia Mood (Stampin’ Up)
  • Jet Black StazOn ink
  • Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (Stampin’ Up)
  • Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin Blends (Stampin’ Up)
  • Dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends (Stampin’ Up)
  • Scoring board or paper trimmer scoring blade
  • Paper trimmer
  • Scissors
  • Adhesive of choice

Take a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock and cut to 5 ½” x 11” and then on your paper trimmer line the left edge at the 5 ½” edge and then move the right end up so it is at 3 ½” and cut to get your angle.  With your straight bottom edge of your card base so starting at the long edge, score at 4 ¼” and at 7 5/8”, folding the middle to the right and the top panel to the left to form your Z-fold.

With the polka dot designer series paper from the Delightful Wishes paper pack, cut a piece to 5 ¼” x 11” and cut the same angle with 5 ¼” at the left end and 3 ¼” on the right edge.  Cut from the small edge for your front panel to 3 1/8” wide, then cut off a ¼” and cut another piece 3 1/8” wide for the middle panel and then cut off a ¼” and cut your back panel to 4” wide.  Take the middle panel and cut another going the opposite direction out of the polka dot paper and one the same direction from a piece of white card stock.

Take your card base and your small panel for the front and adhere.  Then adhere your large panel to the back panel.  Adhere the middle panel to the middle panel when the card is fully open, and the opposite direct one goes on the back side of the middle panel so when the card it closed it has the same decorative paper.

With your remaining piece of angled white card stock with the highest part of your angle to the left.  With the Magnolia Mood “Happy Birrthday” greeting stamp and your Jet Black StazOn stamp the greeting.  Adhere this to the back panel of your card aligning to the left side and aligning the bottom so it doesn’t show when your card is closed.

With your large tulip stamp from Mixed Florals and your Jet Black StazOn Ink stamp the design and then stamp the right half again for the inside.  Color the leaves of both with the Dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends, color the tulips with the Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, highlight with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends if you would like, and color the little flowers with the Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends.  Use the Mixed Florals dies to cut out the full image and also the partial.  Then take a pair of scissors and trim down the partial one along the large leave between the two tulips to the right so you just get the one tulip.

Then with your Soft Sea Foam card stock cut two of the large leaves with the die from Mixed Florals.  Adhere the to leaf cut outs to the front of your card with the one toward the right hanging over the edge a bit and both hanging over the top, but not higher than your 5 ½” card height.  Now adhere the full size colored tulip cut-out to the front centered between the two leaf pieces.  Take the small cut out and adhere that to the inside panel to the right aligned along the side of you white panel but to the right edge so it shows with the full size one when closed.

Now that I finally came up with a design, I am happy with I really like this card and I hope you do as well.
