This beautiful paper from Luxe Foliage is so pretty and needed a card design that showed it off and I think this W-Fold card achieved that. This paper from Stampin’ Up was part of the September Product of the Month from Stampin Up.
To create this card, you just need a few things:
- Secret Sea card stock (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
- Basic Beige card stock (Stampin’ Up)
- Luxe Foliage designer series paper (Sept 2026 Product of the Month Stampin’ Up)
- Poetic Petals stamp set (Sept 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
- Scalloped Blooms stamp set (2026 Annual Catalog Stampin’ Up)
- Secret Sea Ink (Stampin’ Up)
- Gold Sequins
- Scoring Board or blade for paper trimmer
- Paper trimmer
- Adhesive of choice
- Pop dots
To create your card base take a piece of Secret Sea card stock and cut to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and score at 2 1/8”, 4 ¼” and 6 3/8”, then fold in half and then fold each side down forming a “W” shape. Cut another piece to 3” x 6” and score at 3” and fold in half. From you Basic Beige card stock cut six pieces to 2” x 5 3/8” and two pieces to 2 ¾” x 2 ¾”. From the Luxe Foliage find the Secret Sea gold and floral paper and cut six pieces to 1 7/8” x 5 ¼”.
Take your six basic beige pieces and your six floral pieces and create the six panels, and then adhere two to the front with your card folded fully in half and then open the card fully and adhere the other four panels across the inside. Now take your 3” x 6” Secret Sea piece and the two square Basic Beige pieces and adhere one to each side, with your fold going down. With your Secret Sea ink and the “have a beautiful birthday” greeting stamp from the Poetic Petals stamp set and stamp in the upper center of the left panel.
Take a scrap piece of the floral paper and cut out three of the flowers of your choice, then adhere one to the lower left panel corner and one to the lower right panel corner. On the back of your left panels put adhesive about ¾” from the outside edge and adhere down to the center vertically and in 1” from the left edge leaving about ¼” at the center, the fold and put about ¾” of adhesive on the back of the other side and fold your card shut. Adhere 5 gold sequins around your two Basic Beige areas to your liking.
For the front of your card take a scrap piece of Basic Beige card stock and with your Secret Sea ink stamp the “happy birthday” greeting from the Scalloped Blooms stamp set. Then cut your paper down to 1 7/8” x 2 1/8” and then cut a piece of Secret Sea to 2” x 2 ½”. Adhere the stamped Basic Beige piece to even spacing for each side and the top, leaving the extra at the bottom. Adhere up about ½” from the bottom. Now adhere the last cut out flower to the bottom section below the Happy Birthday. Add 5 gold sequins around the card front to your liking.
I have been wanting to try this card design and it was the perfect design for this beautiful paper.
