Peaceful Garden Birds on a Branch Card

This dainty floral-patterned paper from the Peaceful Garden designer series paper from Stampin’ up seemed like the perfect paper for this birds on a branch die.  I think it turned out adorable, loving it.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Secret Sea card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Wisteria Wonder card stock (retired Stampin’ UP)
  • White card stock
  • Peaceful Garden designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • Birds on a Branch die (unknown)
  • Impressions Abloom dies (Stampin’ Up)
  • Birthday stamps (unknown)
  • Wisteria Wonder ink (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

Take a piece of Secret Sea card stock and cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half.  Cut another piece to 1” x 3”.  The dainty floral piece of designer series paper seemed more purple than Misty Moonlight and Cloud Cover so I used Wisteria Wonder, but you could use Cloud Cover as well.  From the Wisteria Wonder card stock cut two pieces to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and another to 7/8” x 2 7/8”.  From the white card stock cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼” and another to ¾” x 2 ¾”.  Then from the Peaceful Garden designer series paper pack find the dainty floral piece and cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼”.

With one piece of the Wisteria Wonder adhere it to the front of your Secret Sea card stock and then adhere the dainty floral piece to that.  With a spare piece of Secret Sea cut two of the birds on a branch die, and then again with a spare piece of Wisteria Wonder.  Cut the birds off the one of the Wisteria Wonder pieces and adhere over one of the Secret Sea birds.  With the second piece of Secret Sea birds on a branch you cut, cut off the left end leaving 3 leaves to the front of the bird and then cut that bird off the second Wisteria Wonder birds and adhere to this branch.  Then with a spare piece of white card stock and the two small flowers dies from the Impressions Abloom dies and cut six white flowers.  Adhere five of the white flowers to the full birds on a branch set and the sixth flower on the small one.

Adhere to full birds on a branch that you created to the front of your card.  Then with the ¾” x 2 ¾” white piece and a “Birthday Wishes” greeting stamp and Wisteria Wonder ink, stamp the greeting.  Adhere the white piece to the Wisteria Wonder piece and then to the Secret Sea piece and adhere to the lower right corner of your card.

For the inside of your card, stamp the “I can’t think of a nicer person to celebrate!” stamp with Wisteria Wonder ink toward the top center.  Adhere your smaller bird on a branch piece to the lower left corner.  Adhere this to the Wisteria Wonder and then to the inside of your card.

You now have the birds on a branch card made with Peaceful Garden.

Beautiful Gallery Marina Accordion Fold Card

This is a great masculine card for any male in your life and is so lovely.  It is fairly quick and easy since the paper does the work, just takes a little time cutting the paper to line up.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Secret Sea card stock (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • Basic Beige card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Beautiful Garden designer series paper (2025 Annual Catalog Stampin’ Up)
  • Label die
  • Happiest of Birthdays stamp set (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Secret Sea ink (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • Scoring board or scoring blade for trimmer
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

Take your Secret Sea card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 11” and score at 3 ¼”, 5 1/8”, 8” and 9 ½”.  From the 3 ¼” first score, fold the next section in and then accordion fold from there with the last piece forming your card front.

From the Beautiful Gallery designer series paper find the piece of brown paint and then two of the marina painting.  From the brown paint piece cut a piece to 1 3/8” x 5 3/8” and a second to 1 ¾” x 5 3/8”.  Adhere the 1 3/8” wide piece to the second panel and the 1 ¾” piece to the 4th panel.

Cutting the marina papers is where it takes a bit of paying attention to get it to all line up to form the same picture when the card is closed.  Trim both pieces of the Marina paper together to 5 3/8” in height so that the picture is the same exact height for both.  Start by cutting the piece for the back, I cut a bit off the right side so it had the single boat starting at the right which then when folded will have all the boats showing, cut to 3 1/8” x 5 3/8”.  Adhere to the back portion of your card.  Fold in the middle and take the second piece of marina paper and see where the boats align to the right and trim to there.  Then cut in from the right to 2 ¾” x 5 3/8”.  Now fold in the front panel and take the leftover piece from the first piece of marina paper and again figure out where the boats need to align and trim the right and then cut to 1 3/8” 5 3/8”.  Andere to the front which gives you your picture when folded and a nice scenic view when open.

From the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set find the “it’s your day enjoy it!” greeting and stamp onto some Basic Beige in Secret Sea ink.  Take your label die and cut out your greeting.  Adhere only a bit of the label to the front panel making your label centered when your card is closed.

Cut a piece of Basic Beige to 3” x 5 ¼” for the back of your card.  Take the “wishing you the happiest of birthdays” greeting stamp and your Secret Sea ink and stamp in the upper center.  Adhere your piece of Basic Beige to the back of the back panel of your card.

There is a great guy birthday card for when you need it.

The Wilderness Awaits Fox Birthday Card

This is a great birthday card for the men in your life.  Masculine cards for some reason are much harder to create over floral or femine cards, but I am going to make myself do more of them.  This card uses Timeless Plaid paper and the The Wilderness Awaits stamp set from Stampin’ Up.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Basic Beige card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Cajan Craze card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Timeless Plaid 6” x 6” designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
  • The Wilderness Awaits stamp set (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • By the Dock stamp set (retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Border die
  • Two label dies (small and medium)
  • Cajan Craze ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Blender Pens (Stampin’ Up)
  • Cajan Craze (light)
  • Wild Wheat (light)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

To start take a piece of Basic Beige card stock and cut to 4 ¼” x 11” and fold in half to form a 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Cut a second piece to 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”” for the inside.  From your Cajan Craze cut a piece to 4 1/8” x 5 ¼” and a second for the inside to 4” x 5 ¼”.  From the Timeless Plaid designer series paper pack find the piece that goes with the Cajan Craze and cut a piece to 4” x 5” and cut a second piece to 1” x 3 7/8”.

Take the Cajan Craze piece cut to 4 1/8” x 5 ¼” and the Basic Beige piece that is 4” x 5” and stack them together and alight evenly at the bottom edge.  Take your border die of choice and angle across both pieces toward the bottom to your liking and cut, forming the angled front pieces.

Take a spare piece of Basic Beige and the Jet Black Momento ink and stamp the fox from The Wilderness Awaits stamp set.  Use your Cajan Craze Light Blender Pen to color the fox leaving a bit uncolored around the eyes and nose.  With the Wild Wheat Light Blender Pen color the grass.  Then use your medium size die to cut out the fox.  Take a small whole punch and cut two holes on each side about ½” apart.  Cut two pieces of the twine and string through the wholes on each side.  Adhere the plaid paper to the center of the Cajan Craze piece.  Add pop dots to the back of the fox piece and adhere toward the top and centered and wrap the twine around the edges.  Then adhere to the front top portion of your Basic Beige card base.

On a spare piece of Basic Beige take the “Happy Birthday” greeting from the By The Dock stamp sent and stamp with Cajan Craze ink.  Then use the small die to cut out and use pop dots to adhere to the lower Basic Beige portion of your card.

For the inside of your card take the Basic Beige piece and adhere to the piece of Cajan Craze and then adhere the plaid strip across the bottom.  Use your Cajan Craze ink and a birthday greeting and stamp, I use a “Wishing you the very best of birthdays” stamp.  Adhere to the inside of the card.

This is a great card for any males in your life with a birthday coming up.

Tulip Birthday Card

I went old school with this one, this is the first stamp set I ever bought from Stampin’ Up almost 20 years ago.  I decided to get it out and make a card today.  Unfortunately, it is so old that it doesn’t have a label anymore so I don’t know the name of the set, but it is beautiful just the same.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Strawberry Slush card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Melon Mambo card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Tulip stamps (Retired Stampin’ Up set but I don’t know the name)
  • Happy Birthday and Inside birthday greeting stamps (Retired Stampin’ Up but also don’t know from what set)
  • Strawberry Slush and Pretty and Pink Gems (Stampin’ Up)
  • Strawberry Slush ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Old Olive ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder or an old-style corrugator
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

With your Strawberry Slush card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  From your Melon Mambo or another piece of Strawberry Slush, cut a piece to 3 ¾” x 4 ½”.  From your white card stock cut a piece to 4” x 6”, one to 3 ½” x 4 ¼” and a third piece to 4” x 5 ¼”.  Take the 4” x 6” piece and corrugate with either an embossing folder and a corrugator and then cut to 4” x 5 ¼”.

Gather your 3 ½” x 4 ¼” piece of white card stock, your tulip stamp set and your Strawberry Slush and Old Olive inks.  Start with the outside outline tulip stamp and stamp that in Strawberry Slush three times, arranging at different levels to the left side of the card stock.  Then with the fuller tulip stamp, stamp off (stamp once on scrap paper) and then stamp to the inside of the first stamp to form your tulips.  Then with your Old Olive ink stamp three stems and leaves as you like.  Then stamp your “happy birthday” greeting to the lower right.

Adhere your white corrugated piece to the front of your card base.  Then center the Melon Mambo (or Strawberry Slush) piece and then your stamped piece on top of the Melon Mambo.  Then take your Strawberry Slush larger size embellishments and adhere three in a row in the upper right corner of your stamped piece.

For your inside piece, stamp another tulip in the lower right corner and your birthday greeting of choice in the upper center.  Adhere to the inside of your card.

There is my old school tulip birthday card.

Wildflower Birthday 40th Card

I made this pretty card for a friend of mine who was turning 40.  It uses the Wildflower Birthday designer series paper and cut outs and while there are a lot of layers it is just some cutting and assembly so it is really easy to make.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Blueberry Bushel Card Stock
  • Pretty in Pink card stock
  • White card stock
  • Wildflower Birthday designer series paper and cut outs
  • Blueberry Bushel ink
  • Birthday stamp (random die I have had for a long time and not from a specific set)
  • Layered Number Dies (old school Sizzix dies)
  • Tag Die
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

For your card base take a piece of Blueberry Bushel paper and cut to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Cut another piece to 2 ¾” x 4”.  With your Pretty in Pink card stock cut a piece to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”, one to 4” x 5 ¼” for the inside and then one to 2 5/8” x 3 7/8”.  Now grab your Wildflower Birthday paper pack and find the floral piece with the light blue background and also the angled stripe piece. Cut the light blue floral piece to 4” x 5 ¼” and the stripes piece to 2 ½” x 3 ¾”.

Take the large piece of Pretty in Pink and adhere the light blue floral piece to it and adhere that to the front of your card.  Then build the second layer by adhering the striped piece to the Pretty in Pink and that to the Blueberry Bushel and then adhere that to the center of the front of your card.  Take some spare pieces of Blueberry Bushel and Pretty in Pink card stock and cut your “40”.  From the Wildflower Birthday pack find the cut outs page and take the large pink tiered cake and one of the medium pink flowers.  Put pop dots on the back of the cake and adhere to the center of the striped paper.  Put pop dots on the back of your layered “40” and adhere those in the lower left corner and then pop dot the flower and adhere to the lower right side.

For the inside of the card adhere your white card stock piece to the Pretty in Pink piece and adhere to the inside of your card.  Find the two large floral corner cut outs from the Wildflower Birthday pack and adhere in the upper left and lower right corners.  With a scrap piece of Pretty in Pink card stock and your Blueberry Bushel ink, stamp your “Birthday Wishes” and cut out with a label die and layer some Blueberry Bushel behind that.  Adhere with your flowers in the upper left corner.

This is just an adorable birthday card and really easy to make, just takes a little time to cut the layers but otherwise it is just building it up with the cut outs that are all ready to go.

Cottage Rose Trellis Card

This is a cute see through card with a beautiful rose for a touch of elegance.  I used the Wild Wheat as the color tones to keep it a bit vintage to go with the trellis cut out.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Very Vanilla card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Softly Stippled designer series paper (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Cottage Rose stamp set and dies (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Trellis die
  • Textured Notes dies
  • Jet Black Staz-On ink
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

With the Very Vanilla card stock cut a card base to 4 ¼” x 11” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  With the Softly Stippled designer series paper, find the piece that is Wild Wheat colored with a look of painted texture.  Cut two pieces of that to 4” x 5 ¼”.  Adhere one piece to the front of your card and the other to the inside of your card.

Take a spare piece of Very Vanilla and the trellis die and cut it out.  Then take the medium rectangle die from the Textured Notes dies and cut a frame that measures about 3 ¾” wide.  Use the same medium rectangle die and cut out a rectangle on the front of your card, which will leave about ¼” on each side for support.  Trim your Trellis piece to just under the size of the rectangle you cut out, adhere to the back and then adhere that over the hole on the front of your card, giving you the trellis window.

Take another spare piece of Very Vanilla and your Jet Black StazOn ink and stamp the large rose and the leaf stem from the Cottage Rose stamp set.  Use the light and dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to color the leaves, the dark Cajin Craze Stampin’ Blends to color the dainty flowers, use the light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends to color the stems and then the light and dark Wild Wheat to color the rose.  Use the dies from the Cottage Rose set to cut out the large rose and the leaf stem.  Adhere the stems to the lower right below your trellis cut out.  Use pop dots on the large rose and adhere to the lower left corner overlook

For the inside cut two rectangle pieces from some Very Vanilla.  On one of them stamp the “Happy Birthday” greeting from the Cottage Rose stamp set.  Adhere that one to the top of the inside of your card.  On the other one stamp one of the small roses from the Cottage Rose stamp set to the left side leaving room for signatures and a note.  Use your same Stampin’ Blends to color that rose.  Adhere this to the bottom of the inside of your card.

That gives you the Cottage Rose Trellis card for a lovely sentiment for anyone’s birthday.
