Velvet Meadow Tower Just Because Card

This lovely paper needs to be the star and this pop-up design offers that.  The paper flows across both sides of the card and is so easy to make.  It is made with the Velvet Meadow designer series paper and the Flowering Meadows stamps from Stampin’ Up.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Basic Beige card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Peaceful Pine card stock (2026-2028 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Velvet Meadow designer series paper (2026 Annual Catalog Stampin’ Up)
  • Flowering Meadow stamp set (2026 Annual Catalog Stampin’ Up)
  • Peaceful Pine Ink (2026-2028 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • Adhesive-backed Dragonflies and Birds
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

For your card base cut a piece of Basic Beige to 4 ¼” x 10” and score at ½”, 2 ½”, 4 ½”, 6 ½” and 8 ½” and then from the ½” side fold up and then the next 3 panels down and the last one up.  Cut another piece to 1 ¾” x 4”.  From a piece of Peaceful Pine cut four pieces to 1 7/8” x 4 1/8” and two pieces to 1 3/8” x 4 1/8”.  Now in the Flowering Meadow designer series paper pack find the piece with the flowers at the top and the bottom and cut one flower edge to 4” high.  Then from the right side so that it all flows, cut a piece to 1 ¼”, 1 ¾”, 1 ¾”, 1 ¾” and 1 ¼”.

Take the flower pieces and the small Basic Beige and adhere to all of the Peaceful Pine backgrounds.  Then adhere your first 1 3/8” piece on the left panel, next a Basic Beige, and then three more of your floral panels that are 1 7/8” pieces, leaving your ½” panel empty and your last 1 3/8” floral piece.

With the Flowering Meadow stamps set, find the “you always make me smile” greeting and stamp in Peaceful Pine ink along the left edge of the Basic Beige panel going vertically.

Then on the last floral panel to the right take the “just because” greeting stamp and stamp in Peaceful Pine ink along the top.  Now on the back side of the ½” piece apply adhesive and adhere to the left side of the last Basic Beige panel, making sure you card lays flat.  Then adhere the last floral piece to the panel.  Push from the left side to make it pop out and stand.  Now to finish ad a few of the adhesive-backed dragonflies to your liking.

I just love this card and it was so easy and is just cheerful.
