Painted Illusions Happy Birthday Pop-Up Blocks Card

I have looked at making this pop-up style card for a while and this paper from the Painted Illusions designer series paper from Stampin’ Up seemed perfect for it.  I am not usually a fan of bright papers so breaking it up into small pieces with a calming background warmed it all up.  I love how it turned out and while there was a bit more cutting that usual, especially since I did two layers, it really went together fairly fast.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Lost Lagoon card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Painted Illusions designer series paper (March 2026 Product of the Month Stampin’ Up)
  • 2026 Virtual Card Making Retreat stamp set (Stampin’ Up)
  • Lost Lagoon ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

From a piece of Lost Lagoon card stock cut these pieces:

  • A card base to 4 ¼” x 8 ½” and score at 1 ½” and 3”. Fold the middle small panel in and the outside small panel out to form a “z” fold.
  • 3 ¼” x 4 ½” and score at 1 ¼”, 3”, and 4 ¼” and fold all inwards
  • 2 ¼” x 3 ¾” and score at 1”, 2 ½” and 3 ½” and fold all inwards
  • 1 ¼” x 3” and score at ¾”, 2” and 2 ¾” and fold all inwards

From white card stock cut the following:

  • Two pieces to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” for the back of the card base and back panel
  • Two to 1 3/8” x 4 1/8”
  • 1 5/8” x 3 1/8”
  • 1 3/8” x 2 1/8”
  • 1 1/8” x 1 1/8”

From the Painted Illusions designer series paper find the Lost Lagoon decorative piece and also the Lost Lagoon and Granny Apple Green “swooshy” piece.  From the Lost Lagoon decorative piece cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼”.  From the swooshy piece cut the following:

  • Three pieces to 1 ¼” x 4”
  • 1 ½” x 3”
  • 1 ¼” x 2
  • 1” x 1”

For one of the 1 ¼” x 4” and each of the other three, if you need a pattern to align, as I did, then cut them all from the same piece in order and then an even about off the top and bottom of the last three pieces.

Adhere the large white piece to the back panel of your card base and then the Lost Lagoon decorative piece to the top of that.  Adhere your first 1 ¼” x 4” “swooshy” piece that starts your patterns that align to one of the white pieces measuring 1 3/8” x 4 1/8”, and then adhere that to the top of your front panel.  Use one of the other two “ swooshy” pieces to adhere to one of the white pieces and adhere to the front of the middle panel.

Now time to create your steps.  Adhere each of your smaller “swooshy” pieces to their appropriate white pieces and then adhere each to the second section of each of the appropriate steps.  Take your largest step and adhere adhesive to the first panel, adhere in the center of the middle card base panel, then put adhesive on the ¼” section of the block, fold the third and fourth panel up and then fold your card down to find the appropriate spot, repeat for the next two sections.

With the large floral stamp with the three flowers and your Lost Lagoon ink, stamp them on a scrap piece of white.  Color the leaves with the Light Garden Green Stampin’ Blends pen.  Fussy cut out the three flowers and the colored leaves.  Then stamp the “happy birthday” greeting and cut out a rectangle around it.  Adhere the large flower to the bottom of the first panel with a single leaf and the triple leaves and then adhere the Happy Birthday greeting, angled up above the second and third pop-up blocks.  Adhere the middle flower and one of the two leaves to the upper portion of the second panel and the small flower and two leaves to the fourth pane.

For the back of the card adhere the large piece of white to the back and then the last “swooshy” piece to the left side of the right.  Stamp a birthday greeting in Lost Lagoon ink centered in the upper portion of the rest of the white.  I used a stamp that says “wishing you a day of little treasures and simple pleasures, happy birthday” which is a single stamp I have had for a long time but don’t know who made it.

This card turned out so cute, and it is so out of my normal range, so I was so excited about it.

Delicate Dreams Thanks for Being You Card

The Delicate Dreams floral designer series papers from Stampin’ Up are so pretty and cheerful.  This is a really plain and simple card but turned out just like I had it in my head, which doesn’t happen most of the time.  I really liked the darkness of the Secret Sea paper and the Gray Granite to pull the colors from this floral paper.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Secret Sea card stock (2025-27 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • Gray Granite card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • Delicate Dreams designer series paper (March 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Delicate Whisters stamp set (March 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Charming Day stamp set (July 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Circle Dies
  • Secret Sea ink (2025-27 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • Variegated Trim ribbon (March 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Pop dots

From your Secret Sea card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Cut a piece of Gray Granite for the inside to 4” x 5 ¼”.  With your Delicate Dreams designer series paper find the piece of Gray Granite and the floral paper that has the Gray Granite flowers.  From the Gray Granite dsp paper cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼” and from the floral piece cut it to 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”.  With a scrap piece of Secret Sea use a circle die about 2 ¾” and cut one.  With the Gray Granite dsp or a scrap piece of Gray Granite card stock use the 2 3/8” circle die to cut out one.

Take the two circles you cut and adhere together.  Take the “Thanks for being you” stamp from the Charming Day stamp set and Secret Sea ink and stamp evenly in an upper portion so you can trim the left and bottom.

Adhere your floral piece of paper to the Gray Granite dsp paper.  Adhere a piece of the Variegated Trim ribbon about ¾” up from the bottom and adhere on the back of each side.  Adhere your circle in the lower left corner and trim off the overhanging portion at the left side and bottom.  Now adhere this to the front of your card base.

Take the Gray Granite piece of card stock you cut and stamp the “you made my day” greeting and your Secret Sea in and stamp in the upper center.  Then use the floral sprig stamp going to the right and with your Secret Sea ink and stamp in the lower left corner.  Adhere to the inside of the card.

What a pretty simple floral card to thank someone for doing something special for you.

  • Sweet Sorbet ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

From a piece of Cloud Cover card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  From a piece of white card stock cut two pieces to 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” and another to 1” x 3 ½”.  From Poppy Parade card stock cut a piece to 3 ¾” x 5” and another to 1” x 5”.  Then take your piece from your 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar Day 2 cover and cut a piece to 3 5/8” x 4 7/8” and another piece to 7/8” x 4 7/8”.

Adhere your larger floral paper to your large Poppy Parade piece and that to one of the white pieces and adhere to the front of your card.

With the white piece you cut to 1” x 3 ½” and stamp with Sweet Sorbet in the Birthday Wishes stamp from the 12 Days of Crafting stamps to the right side of the paper.  Then use the Banner Punch to punch the left side and adhere about 1” off the bottom of your card front and to the right edge of your floral paper.

For the Inside of your card adhere to white piece.  Then adhere to floral strip to the Poppy Parade and then the full strip to the left side of the white piece leaving a small edge on three sides.  Then use the Sweet Sorbet ink and the “For someone extra special” greeting stamp to stamp in the upper center of the remaining white.

This card started a bit different, but it is lovely to give to anyone.

Delicate Dreams Thank You Kindly Card

I love the tan and blue color combinations of this new Delicate Dreams designer series paper from Stampin’ Up.  The florals are all pretty and then this linen paper is a great background.  The Delicate Whispers stamps and dies offer a lot of great foliage and floral options to add to the cards as well.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Crumb Cake card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Delicate Dreams designer series paper (March 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Delicate Whisters stamp set and dies (March 2025 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Stitched Hexagon dies (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Mossy Meadow ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

From you Crumb Cake card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  From you white card stock cut a piece for the inside 4” x 5 ¼”.  Take the Delicate Dreams designer series paper pack and find the Mossy Meadow piece, the Crumb Cake linen piece and the floral with the smaller flowers.  From the Mossy Meadow piece (or you can use Mossy Meadow card stock if you prefer) cut two pieces to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and another to 3 1/8” x 4 3/8”.  From the Crumb Cake linen paper cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼”.  The with the floral piece cut one to 3” x 4 ¼”.

Grab your Stitched Hexagon dies and find the one that measures 1 ½” and the next one up that measures 1 ¾’ wide.  From scrap white card stock cut the 1 ½” label and from your Mossy Meadow paper cut one of the 1 ¾” wide ones.  Adhere them together.  Then cut one of the angled ends off to make your label.  Use the Mossy Meadow ink and the “Thank you kindly” greeting stamp from the Delicate Whispers stamp set and stamp to the right side of your label, pointed end, with the top of the stamp lining up with the point.

Take a scrap piece of the floral paper and the small flower and leaves die and cut out two of the crumb cake flowers from the paper, or you can stamp and color your own.  Take one of the flower you cut out and adhere to the left side of your label.

Now lets get the card put together.  Start with adhering your linen piece to one of the two larger Mossy Meadow pieces and then adhere that to the front of your card base.  Then adhere the floral piece to the smaller Mossy Meadow piece and adhere that in the center of your linen paper leaving about ½” on all four sides.  Now adhere you label in the lower left portion of your card over the floral paper and lining up on the outside Mossy Meadow edge.

For the inside of the card adhere your second large Mossy Meadow paper to the inside and then the white card stock piece on top of that.  Now adhere the second cut out flower in the lower left corner of the white card stock.  If you would like to stamp a greeting on the inside feel free to do so, I didn’t as my friend has asked for some thank you cards that don’t have inside greetings and this is for her.

What a lovely card, I love these color combinations, and a great thank you card for anyone.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Cloud Cover card stock (2025-2027 In Color Stampin’ Up)
  • Old Olive card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • Lovely Blossoms designer series paper (January 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Lovely Arrangements stamp set and dies (January 2026 Online Exclusive Stampin’ Up)
  • Cloud Cover ink (2025-27 In Color Stampin’ Up)

Take your scored piece of Cloud Cover paper and adhere the ½” portion to the Cloud Cover card base, centered between each side.  Then adhere your white piece measuring 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” centered on the card base for the inside of your card.  Now adhere each of the Cloud Cover striped pieces to each side on the white inside piece centered with the flap closed.  Adhere the other white piece you cut to the front of your flap and then the floral paper to the front of that.

Take a scrap piece of white card stock and the two flower stamps from the Lovely Arrangement stamp set.  With one of the flower stamps, stamp in your Cloud Cover ink and then use your Secret Sea marker to color the center of the flower, then huff on the stamp to remoisten the Cloud Cover ink and stamp on your white card stock.  Do the same with the other flower.  Use the dies to cut each of these flowers out.  Then take a scrap piece of Old Olive card stock and cut out one of the two leaves dies and another of the single leaf die.  Stamp the “You are so lovely’ greeting on a scrap piece of white card stock in Cloud Cover ink and use the long label die to cut it out.  Adhere the two flowers at the bottom portion of the front of your flap, adhere the leaves behind the flowers to your liking and then adhere the label on an angle coming out of the top of the flowers, slightly hanging over the edge of the flap.

For the inside of your card take the “Thank you” greeting and stamp in Cloud Cover ink in the upper center of the inside of your card.

All of the floral papers from the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar (2025) designer series paper from Stampin’ Up is all so pretty, this one included with the blues and pinks.  The different embellishments that came with it as well as so much fun and used a few different ones for this card.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Seaside Spray card stock (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar designer series paper (2025 Stampin’ Up)
  • 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar stamp set (2025 Stampin’ Up)

  • Mini Pop dots

From a piece of Seaside Spray card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” and fold in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  From the 12 Days of Crafting designer series paper pack, find the pink paper and the pink and blue floral piece.  Cut the pink piece to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and the floral piece to 4” x 5 ¼”.  Adhere the floral piece to the pink piece and then to the front of your card base.  From white card stock cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼” for the inside of the card.

From some scrap of the pink designer series paper use the Party Banner die measuring 2” wide and cut out.  Adhere this to the right side of your card, lined up off the under pink boarder.  From the pack of cutout find a few flowers and leaves and adhere to the left side of the pink banner using mini pop dots.

Adhere the white piece to the inside of your card and one more of the flower cutouts to the lower right corner.  I didn’t put a greeting on the inside so that it was generic.

Dandelion Wishes Happy Birthday Card

I have been wanting to use the Dandelion Wishes stamp set from Stampin’ Up for a while and just keep going to others and I have owned this set for years and just using it, so sad.  This is a bright and cheery birthday card In Calypso Coral colors.  I used white embossing powder to make the flowers stand out on the polka dot paper from the You’re a Peach designer series paper from Stampin’ Up.

To create this card, you just need a few things:

  • Calypso Coral Two-Tone card stock (Stampin’ Up)
  • White card stock
  • You’re A Peach designer series paper (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Happiness Abounds stamp set (Retired Stampin’ Up)
  • Calypso Coral ink (Stampin’ Up)
  • VersaMark ink
  • White embossing powder
  • Heat gun
  • Paper trimmer
  • Adhesive of choice

From you white card stock cut a card base to 5 ½” x 8 ½” folded in half to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.  Cut a piece to  3 3/8” x 4 ½” and another for the inside to 3 ¾” x 5”.  From the Two-Tone Calypso Coral card stock cut a piece to 3 1/8” x 3 ½” and another for the inside to 4” x 5 ¼”.  Take the You’re A Peach designer series paper pack and find the Calypso Coral polka dot paper and cut a piece to 4” x 5 ¼”.

Grab the 3 1/8” x 3 ½” piece of Calypso Coral Two-Tone card stock, and with your VersaMark ink stamp the large dandelion from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.  Cover with white embossing folder and tap off all the excess powder and the use the heat gun to heat your powder covered flower until it melts.  Be careful not to overheat as this paper is lighter than regular card stock and will start to burn.

Adhere you embossed flower piece to the white card stock cut to 3 3/8” x 4 ½” piece.  Find the “Happy Birthday” greeting stamp in the Happiness Abounds stamp set and stamp that on the remaining white portion at the bottom of the flowers in Calypso Coral ink.  Now adhere the polka dot paper to the front of your white card base and then adhere your floral piece to the front of that, centering on all sides.

For the inside of your card adhere to the piece of Calypso Coral and then the white piece to the top of that.  From the Happiness Abounds stamp set find the “Wishing you all the happiness you can imagine” greeting and stamp toward the upper center in Calypso Coral Ink
